Re: Most economical SiO2 coating spray?

I'm not snapping at anyone. I'm just giving my opinion and supporting said opinion with info and breaking it down to how it would be if a commonly held belief was applied to other products vs....

Re: Most economical SiO2 coating spray?

If my views supported marketing, would you consider it argumentative? I come from a science background. If a theory is questionable and unsupported by data, you question it.

    Yes, I'm skeptic...

Re: Most economical SiO2 coating spray?

Is there any proof of that? There is a reason why you put the longest lasting lsp on the bottom. If not, then you could put a wax on first and a sealant on top and the sealant would make the wax...

Re: Menzerna 3 step process needed?

400 with a mf pad finishes like a polish. You'll probably find you only need 1 step with it.

Re: Most economical SiO2 coating spray?

Most economical would be to let the McKee's coating work without a topper, then reapply after if breaks down.
  6. Re: What do I put over Pinnacle Black Label Ceramic Coating?

I don't put anything on my coatings. Keep it clean and enjoy the benefits of a coating, one of which is not having to continually reapply a lsp.

    Re: Coating Questions - End-of-Life

For the original question. I really like coatings. I'm not one that wants to rub an lsp on my car after every wash. I have too many other things to do. I also let my coatings be coatings, aka I...
  8. Re: Ceramic coat says 2 years but how many miles

Would using essence really be reviving the CQUK, or more of a "remove and replace" since its like using an all in one?

Re: What do you keep in your pressure sprayer?

Depends on the pressure sprayer. I have several, give them specific duties, amd label them ex) house pesticides, plant pesticides/fungicides, foliar fertilizers, water, herbicides, and then some for...

    Re: Boss MF pad issue

Had one do this in May. One of my neices was running it on her car so I just figured it was bumping against an emblem, and that could have very well be the issue that time. I'll definately watch...

    Re: Best/favorite all in one?

I never said it was a sham. The problem is that people are not using it for it's intended purpose, to touch the car once and move on when doing production details.
Instead they are using it as a...

    Re: Best/favorite all in one?

How is it superior as an aio? It only does half the job well. The whole purpose of an aio is to correct and apply an lsp ALL IN ONE step. Not correct, then go back and top because the sealant...

    Re: Best/favorite all in one?

Who said compound and polish? Just polish if you are only using an aio and then going back and topping. AIO's tend to be low on the cutting scale of even polishes so chanced are you'll have better...

    Re: Best/favorite all in one?

Or use an aio with better durability.
Or go ahead and use a polish that will correct better than any aoi with the same amount of effort and top it like like you would speed. Why not have improved...

    Re: Best/favorite all in one?

So you cover the durability issue by constantly applying another lsp? Again, why not use an actual polish?

    Re: Best/favorite all in one?

Again, no one is talking about durability with speed. That is half the job of an AIO! So it corrects well. So does a polish. How is it at the other half of it's intended purpose? If it isn't a...

    Re: Best/favorite all in one?

I don't do that either, but with speed you see people specifically topping and recommending a topper because its durability is low. For me, having to do add a step to top negates using an aio over a...

Re: Cleaning MCkees 360 from pads

Its the red dye they use to make,it pink. They need to change colors, and maybe go with bacon scented instead of bubblegum.

Re: Car oxidizes so fast! Solutions?

Transfer is indicative of single stage paint, not how abrasive a product is. 2 stage (base coat/ clear coat) does the same except the transfer is...well...clear.

Try something like Megs #7, as...
