    Re: 1998 Honda super hawk

I have had good luck with Amazing Roll Off on engines, and have used S100 at my previous shop. But would go with Roll Off given the choice.

    Re: 1998 Honda super hawk

I've had luck on my '88 Magna with Flitz on a yellow applicator pad.

Most of Honda's aluminum was clear coated, but if someone stripped it to polish, it's going to take some elbow grease to get...

    Re: Which Clay Mitt?

I can only speak to Nanoskin, but I have used the sponges, mitt, and DA synthetic clay pads from them. All are top notch and perform very well. Of all of them, I use the mitt the most during washes....
  4. Re: What are your mantras to get you through anxiety, panic, stress or despair?

I second the motorcycle ride. But when my back injury, or the weather won't allow for it, I simply use the mantra I learned while working in Information Technology. I walk into the bathroom, splash...
  5. Re: Help with Waterless Wash: Wolfgang vs Blackfire vs Pinnacle vs Ultima

I fit helps, my review of Pinnacle Waterless.
  6. Re: Help with Waterless Wash: Wolfgang vs Blackfire vs Pinnacle vs Ultima

I'm a big fan of Wolfgang Uber as it doesn't leave anything behind. There is usually a gallon pre-mixed in my garage. I use Sonax PNS on my daily, and will use Sonax Brilliant Shine as a drying aid...

  8. Wolfgang Carpet and Uphosltery Restorer - well worth it!

    Hi Gang!

Those of you that know me, know that I would never, under any circumstance, speak in absolutes, and nothing sickens me more than hyperbole!!

So, when I say that Wolfgang Carpet...

  12. Re: How many here are still using the Porter Cable DA?

I have the Porter Cable 7424XP, but now that I'm getting better with correction, I'm going to pick up a Griot's 6 inch. I had planned to sell the 7424, but after reading this thread, I'm going to put...

    Re: New to engine detailing

I have to recommend Amazing Roll Off. I did the engine on Mom's Lincoln with it. Light hosing of the engine, sprayed Amazing Roll Off, let it dwell for a minute or so, hosed off, blow dry. No...

    Re: What's better than Rain-X?

I've been very pleased with McKee's 37 Glass Coating.
  16. Re: What do most people use as drying aid and touchup for Sonax Polymer Net Shield?

I second this whole heartedly! Can't believe how well it works.
  17. Re: Quick Flitz Review (Or, How I learned to stop worrying and polish wheels)

I also use Mothers and White Diamond. No complaints about any of them.
  18. Re: List your wax's / sealants what you like and don't like.

Collinite 845 is my current favorite and go to.
I've been know to use D156 as a drying aid on my maintenance washes. (Hobbyist here, family cars only.)
I received a puck of Wofgang Fuzion Estate...

    Re: Blackfire or HD

Also a hobbyist here, and I agree with Paul. I've used mostly HD products (Compound, Polish, Speed) and really have come to rely on them. Ironically, my 16 oz bottle (also 2016 vintage) is expected...

Re: McKee's 37 Glass Coating - First Use

I wasn't a big fan of RainX as a stand alone glass sealant, but I've come to really like their 2 in 1 all weather washer fluid.

Re: McKee's 37 Glass Coating - First Use

That is a good point. I figured that the combination of the wipers polishing the windshield and the Rain-X definitely add to the hydrophobic action.

I'm basing my estimation that there is coating...

Re: McKee's 37 Glass Coating - First Use

2 1/2 years later, an Update..

WOW! I have not redone the coating, the same treatment of McKees 37 Glass Coating that I put on in September of 2016 is still going strong.

    I've been using...
  24. Re: Quick Flitz Review (Or, How I learned to stop worrying and polish wheels)

Hello my friend! Sorry for the long absence. I was working nights, then ridiculous hours for a while and am hoping to get some polisher time in this summer and participate in the forums again.

  25. Quick Flitz Review (Or, How I learned to stop worrying and polish wheels)

A great tip for polished wheels..

First, buy your mom a Buick Encore.

Next, pre-treat the mirror polished wheels with some curb rash and a Pennsylvania winter of road brine, salt, blue stuff,...
