    When air-drying your pads, place them velcro side up. Residual cleaner/water "could" effect the adhesive that holds the velcro to the pad. Please note that I didn't say it "would", I said it "could"....

    You'll get lots of opinions. Personally, I'd use a sealant or a glaze (if it's just for the show) instead of a wax. Try DWG alone or under/over your sealant of choice.
