Re: Coating/Protectant for EVA Foam mats

It has been great. I've gotten to about the 2 year mark before I polish it off and install a new one due to wanting to remove micro marring and such in the coating.

Re: Coating/Protectant for EVA Foam mats

I've ceramic coated all my vehicles, except my boat. It's used almost exclusively in fresh water and cleaned top to bottom after every outing. It's just too big for me to try and ceramic coat. Don't...

Re: Coating/Protectant for EVA Foam mats

I'd be interested to hear what they say. In the meantime I'll see how this fabric guard holds up.

Re: Coating/Protectant for EVA Foam mats

Those curious I put 303 fabric guard on there without any issue, or spotting. I had a spare mat I wasn't putting in my boat so put it on there just in case it stained it somehow. Theoretically these...

    Coating/Protectant for EVA Foam mats

Planning to put down some EVA foam mats in my boat. Searched all over the place and came up with nothing. I'd like to put a hydrophobic coating of sorts on them. The biggest complaint I see of any...

    Re: 2012 Twin turbo V8 M5

Found out the installer didn't do any correction work prior to installation, according to the owner. Something doesn't add up. Wonder if maybe they said well it's gonna cost a boat load to correct...

This was my first time using it. I've had it in my arsenal for a while, but haven't needed it..... Until now.

This was essence plus which is meant to heal "old" abused coatings. It doesn't have any cut at all to it.

    2012 Twin turbo V8 M5

Mvasion is this weekend and I got a call to try and fit in a last minute detail. This one already had ceramic pro gold on it, but it had seen better days. Water spots everywhere, swirled all to hell....

Re: The importance of Iron Removers/Coated Vehicles

There was an article posted on detailed image for just coating maintenance and it mentioned the possibility for the need to decon a coating.
  17. Re: 2004 BMW Z4 paint restoration/correction with cquartz ceramic coating.

Thanks! It was definitely was a challenge with temps in the 90s here. Making sure I didn't drip sweat while applying the coating was fun. Hah

All done. Ceramic coating is on, wheels have been sealed, and the last little odds and ends taken care of.

  19. Re: 2004 BMW Z4 paint restoration/correction with cquartz ceramic coating.

Agreed. I was thinking max 4 hours per polish stage. I wayyyyyy underestimated. The cut stage is always the worst. I always catch myself scratch hunting, or saying if I hit that just a couple more...
  20. Re: 2004 BMW Z4 paint restoration/correction with cquartz ceramic coating.

Got the cut stage done today. Looks like whoever owned this car previously drove by braille. All kinds of random scratches, scuffs, etc. Tomorrow will be final stage polish and ceramic coating.

oh yeah. It was in definite need of a good cleaning and clay.
  22. Re: 2004 BMW Z4 paint restoration/correction with cquartz ceramic coating.

I've tried ironX, trix, and adams wheel cleaner and I find this to be on par.....so far, to those.
  23. Re: How much to charge for a 2 step process for a F-150

I don't touch trucks for anything under $500. Especially for a 2 step correction.
  24. 2004 BMW Z4 paint restoration/correction with cquartz ceramic coating.

Alrighty next up a 2004 BMW Z4. This car is in ROUGH shape. The silver hides is pretty well. The trunk lid is so bad it has almost zero shine to it. Upside is when I'm done it'll look like a million...

Re: Possible damage to my 3401

I bought a HF cheap rotary for boats and gel coat. Comes with a wool pad that does pretty good for boats as well.
