Re: Wheel ceramic affect wheel weights?

    Yes, on the rubber wheel

I've done the plastic scraper - then 3M Adhesive, solvent, terminator, more scraping route. IME, the tape is just tenacious and annoying this route. Even with the soaking...

Re: Wheel ceramic affect wheel weights?

And for real OCD.....ahem....one preps the wheel before getting new tires installed (if you are fortunate enough to be using a different set of wheels physically on the car). It's my preferred way to...

Re: Does Iron Remover diminish coatings

Just absolutely floored that I never picked up on using it more often since it's been awhile since I have had intricate many spoke wheels - but Iron Dwell, HP Rinse is a complete touchless wash that...

    Does Iron Remover diminish coatings

Who here has real world experience with using Iron remover when cleaning your wheels and it's it's effect on the LSP - in this discussion, mid:high solids coating.

For me, I currently have Dlux...

Re: Wheel ceramic affect wheel weights?

I've had concerns but sofar....I've yet to find a missing weight. VHB or any decent weight supplier should -fuse- to the substate it's being attached.

Now that I'm putting this into perspective,...
  9. Re: What do you do to make your Wheel Cleaning Easier

IME with softer compounds (would call them sticky-oily), HP rinse never works for me. Always a film left.

However, apparently per the recent updates, CHEMS and HP rinse will do it.

    You know why...
  10. Re: What do you do to make your Wheel Cleaning Easier

I've seen the way......and or need to do more reading on coatings, and real world feedback on using a Thioglycolate Cleaner on them consistently, etc. If the findings/readingss says it doesn't faze...

I must Not be using Iron Remover as Often as I should

I really only use it at end of season - wheels off deep clean sessions - and maybe once mid cycle when summer tires are on between March-Nov....

    Re: BMW Cerium Grey Wheels

I'd say coat them as a first pass - of the Cerium is exactly like their Cerium trim, love the finish but it shows water spot very easily
  13. Re: What do you do to make your Wheel Cleaning Easier

I think:feel all the water based paint is crap these days...
So even just painted barrels, painted spokes of a machined feel wheel is SUS.

For example. the 1st thing I generally do on a new car...

Re: How do you top off a still dressed tire

    Tufshine.

The TW stuff - like the Acrylic Tire Shine. I've used that. It's not a coating like Tufshine.
I consider the TW a strong dressing
Tufshine goes on completly clean, dries to a touch,...
