  1. Re: Looking for a DA polisher upgrade to my Griots 6"

I just picked up a used Adams SK Pro 15 for a steal. We'll see how this works out.
  2. Re: Looking for a DA polisher upgrade to my Griots 6"

I don't have the G9, I have the older model. And it had these problems since it was brand new so I'm not sure. I have to wear anti-vibration gloves otherwise my hands will go totally numb after maybe...
  3. Looking for a DA polisher upgrade to my Griots 6"

Hello all, I want to take advantage of boxing day sales and I think it's about time I upgrade my polisher. I currently have a griots 6" polisher with a 5" backing plate that I don't particularly like...
  4. Re: Looking for the most aggressive cutting compound to go with orange pads

Ended up going with the 3D AAT 501, finishes a little better than the 500 but with similar cut. Thanks guys
  5. Re: Looking for the most aggressive cutting compound to go with orange pads

Looks like 3D 500 removes P1000 sanding marks and 3D AAT 501 removes P1200 sanding marks. From what I can see online people say 501 finishes better and 500 can be a pain to work with but it does have...

Re: Polish wipe down quick question

Use a dry mf towel. If it doesn't come off with just a little-moderate pressure on the towel. Don't press any harder, use a spritz of 50/50 water and ipa mixed and it'll come right off

Re: How do I remove paint sealent?

Isopropyl is good but not 100% effective. If you want to be absolutely 100% sure, do a quick n dirty light polish.

Not necessary, but if you do the finish will be a tad nicer.

    Re: Chemists!! Solvents

Thanks for the input Bob, I quickly checked the MSDS, 1-10% graphite composition whereas majority is 40% mineral oils. Solubility in water is not great. Time to break out the hydrocarbons I guess
