Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Maybe I should try Wolfgang Uber Rinseless on the glass- tried it on the fridge once and not a d4mn magnet would stay in place after..

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Flashbacks to when I used to use Griot's Waterless Car Wash to clean the sliding glass patio doors (works great to clean off the dog nose art) - when it was boxelder bug season, they'd fly and land...

Re: Cleaning Wash Mitts And Drying Towels

    I do another variation:

I also keep glass towels separate.

From there it’s split to “nice” and “the rest”.

Nice includes (body) wash mitts and any towels that touch paint.
    The rest is...

It’s a bad look when the people that donated pile up around the entryway.

    Re: Unwatchable detail+

Once you’ve experienced tape accidentally removing paint, you best believe it changes you. [/QUOTE]

Or have it lift the factory coating off the rubber window seals like happened when I did the...
  6. Re: Help finding a terrible detailing video

I love the 74 pumps per tire of dressing. :wow:
  7. Re: Help finding a terrible detailing video

Thank you! I couldn’t figure out the right search term to find it.

I always felt (hoped?) the same, part of why I wanted to watch it again. :D
  8. Re: Help finding a terrible detailing video

It's the cousin of the video that made me stop watching detailing videos - A guy was "cleaning carpets" and his trick was to spray straight purple power on the carpets, then add water from a garden...
  9. Help finding a terrible detailing video

    Hey Gang

Klasse's post about the Leno detail reminded me that I've been trying to find a video from way back - I know I mentioned not watching bad detailing vids, but this one crosses the...

    Re: Unwatchable detail+

Unfortunately this is why I continue to not be able to click detailing video links. Don't like the fact someone gets compensation even if I regret ever clicking on it...

Re: Installed some Conti DWS06's on the RedSport

Let me recommend going with Zimmerman rotors when you do your fronts - Brembo's replacement rotors for stock applications aren't quite what they used to be. Full disclosure, we haven't used Brembo...

    Re: chilly checking in

Hey Chilly! Great to see you able to post again - was wondering how life at the new house has been going.

My heart goes out to the Mrs on the back front (have had my own back adventures, but this...
  13. Re: What's been your bigest game changers? And why?

I spent a long time just using the gun it came with. Are there better ones out there? Sure! But not doing a ton of pressure washing, I just couldn't justify the money.

I did ask for/get an MTM gun...
  14. Re: What's been your bigest game changers? And why?

Can't beat the Ryobi. One of it's best features is that it doesn't take up a ton of space.

My first one made it just before the 3 year mark before it started cycling without you pulling the...

Re: Current Best Hose Nozzle of Choice

Can't speak for Zoro.com, but Webstaurantstore is legit. They've very much focused on the commercial segment, so buying onesie-twosie you're not gonna get a deal on shipping, but they've been really...
  17. Re: Am I just major ADHD or have you pored a product in a new bottle and didn't label it right away?

    Guilty.

More than one occasion I've mixed something, then gone back to it later scratching my head. Then you smell check it and I'll be danged if it just smells like a plastic bottle (especially...

    Re: DFB's Garage

Good call on the towel under the arm - When I worked at the dealership on more than one occasion you'd hear the wiper arm snap against the glass (hello spider-web...) while the technician was off...

Unfortunately I can’t be much more help than this. Hyundai doesn’t share much for ground location information.

For bedding in brakes really the name of the game is just getting some of the brake pad material embedded into the rotor.

What I do at work (we only use the rotors that come with the zinc paint...

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Plausible; but for how much driving Klasse does and hitting a top tier station I'd think he'd notice a difference from tank to tank.

    Re: From "stay tuned" to T U N E D !!

I'd be looking at re-pinning the connector at least at the knock sensor to rule out poor contact there just to rule it out. This would also give a chance to inspect the weather-pac inserts that help...
