  1. Re: Need pointers on detailing a 14 foot camper

I guess it depends on what the black streaking is? Could be road tar, could be tree sap, could be a ton of different things. Have you tried cleaning it off yet? Does the client have any idea what it...

Re: Washer Can't Get Detergent Out of Towels?

Always used a dedicated MF towel wash with no issues. Make sure you are rinsing them, and wringing them out, prior to washing.

  5. Re: Got rid of my Overpriced Karcher PW and bought a Cheap Ryobi & Upgraded it... way better setup!!

FWIW: I have the same PW, use it multiple times a week, and I've never once had an issue with it. Some upgraded parts would be nice as that OEM hose is crap and tangles non stop, but I've never once...

Re: Pad cleaning on the fly...

I use brush/air on the fly. Usually have air running anyway, so it takes me a couple more seconds to blow it out after I brush.
  9. Re: How long did it take you and how well did it start off?

Don't ever lower your prices if you feel that your quality of work is on par or better than anyone else around you. I did that once to drive traffic and all people did was take advantage of it. One...

    Re: Menzerna 400 + 3500 -- Wow

    400/3500 is a great combo.

Did you leave the product on the panel and then switch to another section/panel? I usually wipe off immediately after I'm done with a section. I break the panels down...

Re: Question for detailing business owners

Exactly my thought on it. That's exactly what I did. However, I don't need a payment to keep my motivation through the roof. Becoming the best damn detailer in the country is motivation enough. Like...

Re: Question for detailing business owners

What happens when you can't get the business, you become terminally ill, house burns down, garage catches on fire, or just can't pay that payment? Now you're screwed. I understand where you're coming...

Re: Question for detailing business owners

My biggest piece of advice to any "start up" is to farm the money yourself. Don't go out and get a loan. Having the money up front for certain things like polishers, extractors, pads, tools, product,...

Re: Got the Hardware but Which Software Now?

HD Speed with Orange/White pads will be all that you ever really need if you're not looking for "professional results". If you're wanting to keep your DD looking sharp, I'd advise to go that route...

Re: Do you use air fresheners?

I personally leave it as an option for clients. If they wish to have the car bombed or sprayed with an air freshener, I'm not going to stop them :)
  21. Re: What can I use to polish up this "chrome" trim?

Don't forget... When you correct headlights, you're removing the UV protection that is currently on there. Faded or not. Once you've achieved the results you're after, you need to REAPPLY a UV...
  22. Re: Thank you everyone!!! Just Ordered The Flex 3401 [emoji4]

Perfect setup right there. Orange/white/black is all you really need for now. FG400/SF3500 is a great combo. Might want to pick up an AIO (HDSpeed) for a 1 step, but other than that, congratulations!

Re: HD Speed w/3401 - Satisfied customer :)

This is my go to combo 90% of the time. If I don't need as much cut, I'll roll HDSpeed with a white CCS. Top with poxy if you want an added layer of protection, but it's totally not needed as HDSpeed...

    Re: Help! Audi A8

A rotary has a fairly large learning curve. You can pick up a DA, with some youtube learning, and be ready to polish your paint in a matter of a day or so. My .02. Both take time behind the machine...
