  1. Re: Ceramic coated my car, residue remaining

Yep, it worked on 2 of my windows and took down the 3rd (heaviest layer) a good bit. I need to go back and spend a bit more time with the microfiber towel, and I can get it all gone.
  2. Re: Ceramic coated my car, residue remaining

    Thanks. Sounds good!
  3. Ceramic coated my car, residue remaining

    Hey!

I had applied CQuartz to my Tesla which went well, but I ran into an issue where my windows have a sliver of residue on the bottom portion because the windows retract when the door opens....

Re: Turtle wax ceramic spray durability

Wait, Turtle Wax Ceramic actually lasts ~1 month? I'd be thrilled with that during winter! I always figured it would be gone after a week, but maybe I'd be washing my car way more often up here w/...

Re: Pads for Milwaukee 7" Polisher

That makes sense! I'll just grab a 6-pack of the CCS Smart Pads since I am already familiar with CCS tech. Excited to finally get back to detailing my car again.

Re: Pads for Milwaukee 7" Polisher

I've thought about it, but I wouldn't be opposed to getting a larger pad for time efficiency. I don't know why, but it takes me absolutely forever to wax my Accord with the current pads. Since the...

    Pads for Milwaukee 7" Polisher

I just got a Milwaukee 7" Polisher, and I'm looking to get some pads for it since I unfortunately have a ton of 6.5" pads for my GG6. I was suggested by some to just use a 6.5" HDO pad for the...

    Re: Polishing passenger window

I haven't tried any polish/compound. I was reading in other threads that they wouldn't do anything, but perhaps that was because the scratches were much deeper?

    I have some DG105/205. Should I...

    Re: Polishing passenger window

Any preference between Ceriglass and Griot's Fine Glass Polish? Griot's is a bit cheaper, but I could see that being due to differences in amounts of cerium oxide.

    Re: Polishing passenger window

Dumb question, can I use 3" pads on a 5" backing plate? Since I'm polishing glass, I'm not too worried about the edge hitting paint or other things. Or should I just go ahead and grab the 5" Lake...

    Re: Polishing passenger window

Appreciate the tips from the master himself! I would agree that it is more like scuffing. I was so confused when I came out to my car because I have no clue what would even cause this. Do you think I...

    Re: Polishing passenger window

Thank you! I will grab the 150mL.

I ran my finger nail over the scratches again this morning, and my nail isn't catching on anything so hopefully that means it'll be repairable.

    Any comments on...

    Re: Polishing passenger window

Here's some photos of the scratch. Really hard to get a good photo, maybe that's a good sign so that it's not that deep?

    Re: Polishing passenger window

Geebus. Okay, well I guess I definitely need to use my DA then. My scratch is nowhere near that bad though so maybe it won't be so bad?

    Polishing passenger window

I came out to my car tonight to a massive scratch on my passenger side window. I can't feel the scratch much with my fingernail, but I can't rub it away.

Before I look into replacing the window,...
  16. How to tell when leather is saturated w/ conditioner?

I just got new Roadwire leather seats for my car. They were clearance items so I can't really complain too much for the price I paid, but I one of my pieces of upholstery was quite dry and felt very...

Re: Burger grease on fabric upholstery

Awesome, thank you. I tried another grease remover which worked a little bit, but I think it just wasn't strong enough. Will get some Folex!

    Burger grease on fabric upholstery

So being super hungry, I decided to eat a burger in my car without laying down some napkins and spilled some grease. I've tried baking soda and Ultima interior Shampoo Gel with oil stains left...

Re: P21S Paint Cleanser Polisher Settings

I ran my GG6 on a white pad on speed 3, and had no problems with the P21S drying up quickly. Definitely noticed a big difference after using it. Just applied DG105 + 601 and taking a break before...

I actually came across a blog that said to do speed 4-5, but it sounds like I'll just waste a ton doing it that high. Thanks for the tip!

    P21S Paint Cleanser Polisher Settings

    Hi guys,

I'm hoping someone can answer this quickly for me before I seal and wax my car tomorrow. I have some P21S because I don't plan on polishing my car this time around, but I am not sure what...

    Re: Nanoskin Mitt How Sticky

Well, that's what is confusing me. If I run my finger along the mitt, it doesn't really catch on the mitt?

It's definitely not slick, but it's not sticky like tape.

    Re: Nanoskin Mitt How Sticky

    Awesome cool.

    Just make sure.

I was just reading storage for the nanoskin and people were talking about how they didn't want the sticky side folding on itself since it would cause some residue...
