Re: Aquawax: how long will it last vs carnuba?

932 is the no-rinse wash and wax. It is very slick when used as a QD. Some of us have known this for decades.

Re: Aquawax: how long will it last vs carnuba?

932 mixed as a detail spray actually lasted longer than pure Aquawax in a long longevity thread running on here.

Re: Review: Collinite No. 845 Insulator Wax

476 but I have had good results with 885 and 915 also. I also have not had one bird bomb damage the paint since switching from sealants no matter how long it has been there.

Re: Old Cringe worthy Detailing Techniques

Must have been Simonize Paste Wax, been there done that. It was definately an all day job and vehicles back then were not midgets.

Re: Review: Collinite No. 845 Insulator Wax

I have been using Collinite products for years now, pretty much all of them. The big difference between 845 and 476 is longevity. I have become fond of 915 also. 885 for the RV but also works great...
  8. Re: history of waxing and polishing in the 1920s and 30s

I used Simonize in the late 60's and early 70's. It was definately a work out.

    Re: Sealant for Bird bombs

I have had etching with sealants. Zaino and Duragloss to be specific. Since changing to Collinite (any one) I have had zero water spots and etching over the last 8-10 years and I do not need to run...

Peaceful protest does not include damaging/destroying others property. They are some sorry SOB's

    Re: VETERANS DAY SALE?!

Maybe do what some other sites do. Email, fax etc. proof of being a Veteran, DD214, VA card etc. and you get some kind of benefit. They add that special thing to your account so everytime you order...

Re: Remove swirls white Clothes Dryer?

From what I know those appliances are electroplated. What that means is the paint is very thin and it doesn't take much to burn through.

Re: Big Block 64 Olds Super 88

Check fuel pressure to the carb ?. A lot of those vehicles have a filter on the pickup tube in the tank.

Re: Big Block 64 Olds Super 88

I should add to check for vacuum leaks. Check/replace vacuum hoses as needed, check the accelerator pump for proper operation as the rubberized material may have a defect from drying out.

Re: Big Block 64 Olds Super 88

Sitting that long the carb more than likely needs to be taken apart and cleaned as the old gas has probably gummed some things up. Be nice to have a rebuild kit. Check rockauto.com
  16. Re: Daily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice!

I am in Flagstaff Az. at a RV Park for the Summer, until Oct. to be exact waiting for Phnx. to cool down and become livable again :D. We are parked under Pine tree's and get the pine mist. I wash the...
  17. Re: 1970 Plymouth Barracuda - Super Contaminated with Overspray Paint

I would take the Cuda any day. No computers just basic muscle. I am a simple person and do not need the glitter.
  18. Re: 1970 Plymouth Barracuda - Super Contaminated with Overspray Paint

Just a FYI. Anything with a 340 and above is a Cuda, below a 340 like a 318 is a Barracuda. Just a little nostalgia.

    Re: Rv roof cleaning,coating?

    Re: Sealant comparison

It's funny you say 915 is fading. Back in 2017 we were in Minot ND where my SIL is stationed along with my Daughter and now two Grandsons. I polished her car and finished up with 915. Two years later...
  23. Re: Review: Marine 31 Gel Coat Prep Spray & Captain’s Boat Coating with UV50

So what is the sq. ft. coverage of this coating and cleaner. My 5ver is approx. 960 sq. ft. of fiberglass. Seems like it would take a few 8oz. bottles.

From what I can tell of the pictures at least the sides appear to be corrugated aluminum. Your not going to use a buffer on those and you have to be very careful as the paint is very thin and can...
