    Re: Best Boat Wash?

Congrats on the new boat! Remember, it's better to have friends with boats than to own a boat......As for boat soap; I use Meguires Gold Class car soap because it cleans well. Others may have better...

Re: Magic Eraser residue on glass?

I've used the magic erasers for years now - my suggestion is to just use the eraser with clean water. That will take everything off the glass - then wipe/polish with MF.

Re: Help with bumper on Jeep Wrangler

Heat gun - just run it over the plastic and it will turn back to new-looking.
  4. Re: Some Extreme techniques that are kinda odd but......

I've used several of his methods that would seem unusual to most car detailers. Mothers on the headlights, on the paint; "orange shop soap" on the windshield; rain-x in the power window tracks; heat...

Re: Wax or sealant for daughter

+1 on this. Applied it to a car 5 months ago and it's still repelling. Can't say enough good about it being the simplest application I've experienced.

    Re: Sanding discs for headlights

Instead of all those steps, recommend you use mother's aluminum and chrome polish on any pad/DA combo. Works like a charm and is a true one and done process. Follow up with a ceramic/nano coating and...
  7. Re: Next step up from Meguiar's Flaghsip Cleaner wax with CCS Green polishing pad

Having had the good fortune of attending the boat detailing class with Mike - would recommend the Marine 31 Captains Compound. The product works as advertised and we used to put a "show class" shine...

    Re: INTERIOR glass polish ...

I've posted this before but always try to add when this topic comes up.

    - glass cleaner of choice (knock down the big stuff)
    - magic eraser and a bowl of warm water (two go arounds)
    - microfiber...
  9. Re: Some off label product testing on plastic trim..

Heat gun and some 303 as a follow up will make it look like new.
  10. Re: Still struggling with streaking- any suggestions?

With respect to the professional responses and solutions - I use a window cleaner to get the major stuff off and then a "Magic Eraser" and a bucket of clean, warm water (at least two iterations)....

    Re: Stumped

Magic Eraser, two small buckets of water (clean and rinse), clean and dry mf towel. The magic eraser will take everything off your windshield (rinse often) and you buff it dry with the mf towel. Pro...
  12. Re: Training boat for boat detailing class - Red ROBALO Center Console

It's a great disappointment to me that there has been no follow up to this here or in the other AutoGeek forums.
  13. Re: Pictures and comments: Marine 31 Boat Detailing Class - February 6th, 2016

    Mike,

Are you going to post any more of the pictures from the class? Maybe I missed the thread but haven't seen any of the 1,000 pics that Andre took.

    Re: Nanoskin

Recommend that you start with the blue sponge (least aggressive method to start) and move to medium or heavy if that doesn't work. I recently used the blue sponge on a black car and it worked great -...

    Re: Megs dub tire shine

I used this on a black Cadillac and had no sling occur - it's been about 3 weeks and still looks good along with some serious beading when wet.

    Re: Claying

I just used the nanoskin fine sponge on a black Cadillac and noticed no marring, huge time savings and - like Odisius said - just used the wash soap already in the bucket. If it didn't mar black, I...

Re: New microfiber arrived w/ review

I have to ask, who did you buy these through and, what is the description they use for this towel? Looking at A&H's website, it's not clear which towel you purchased.

    Thanks

Thank you for the responses. HD does carry them ([
It may be more economical to buy a package deal when AG has on of their sales.
