It looks like time will not allow me to do all of my truck at same time. I have to clay, correct & polish each panel after work so I may have to do it in sections which I’m guessing will take about 2...
Thank You Mike!! You did not need to send me that backing plate but I am glad you did. Looks like it may be a while before they’re back in stock. You said it was a used plate but it looks darn near...
I would think any quality extension cord would work as long as the wires are the same gauge or one size bigger. Cut the female end off and install it. It may void your warranty.
I’m a bit disappointed in how long it lasted. I think it was a combination of deterioration through time and using it. Being a hobbyist I do not use it that often but love it when I do.
I wet sanded my old gel coat with the Trizact 3000 discs on my Porter Cable before I polished it. Big difference and a lot less work than compounding before polishing. The Marine 31 captains one step...
One of my friends wants to add a 3” polisher to his collection. I have the Rupes mini and am happy with it. Flex & Griots have come out with new models since I bought my mini. I am not familiar with...
Marine 31 UV50 coating. Bit time consuming to apply/remove but looks good with supposed long term durability. Just used it on my 30 year old gel coat. Looks almost new.
I did the coated hull side with the 3000 Trizact. It did not remove it but it did get rid of the tacky feel. I hit it with the buffer afterwards and it was shiny. I could probably leave it but will...
You can do it with the orbital but it will be a bit more work. Most use the rotary to get the worst oxidation & scuffs out and finish with the orbital. If your gel coat is in decent shape, the...
I have a box of Trizact 3000 pads to work with. They did a good job before polishing prior to coating. Hoping the coating removal won’t clog them up too fast. I have 9 pads and one side of a 25’...
Yes Sir! Got here this morning. Not only did the coating get replaced, they threw in a 6 pk of applicator pads and a small bottle of 303 protectant. Above and beyond once again!! Thanks again Mike!
Turns out I have to remove some too. I might try wet sanding to get most of it off. I already wet sanded & polished it before I coated it the first time so I don’t think it will hurt to do it again.
I have a unopened bottle of the old formula. I think it is several years old but has been stored in a climate controlled area. I opened it to use yesterday. It was the consistency of a thin gel and...
I watched a lady at a gas station try to wash most of her dirty car with the windshield squeegee sponge and try to dry it with the other side. I had to cringe. Those are the kind of people who should...
