    Re: Desert detailing

I live in Phoenix, so I feel your pain, but overall, I can't say it's the worst thing. I do go through windshields often, due to the sand-caused pitting that occurs, and the heat just kills me...
  2. Re: Brand New 2017 Chevy 1500 High Country (HOLY SWIRL BATMAN)

You did some excellent work there, and it looks great.

Shame on the dealer, although this seems to be the norm, almost regardless of where you go. The Nissan dealer where I bought my Altima in...

Re: Wax or sealant for daughter

What about CarPro Reload? As spray sealants go, I'd say it's right up there.

    Re: Clay a ceramic coating?

I would expect that since the CQuartz has only been on about a year, and you've been using Reload, that your finish would be pretty much swirl-free. If this is the case, what use would a polish job...

    Re: What are you buying?

I actually ordered during the flash sale a couple days ago - 25% off and free shipping - and I bought the following:

    McKee's 37 Hydro Blue SiO2 Coat - 16 oz.
    Gtechniq G4 Glass Nano Polish - 100...

    Re: Paste wax problem

    Two words: Butter knife

It's what I use to spread wax onto my applicators. Insures that no potential contamination will make its way back into the wax tub.

Re: how does one protect this spot of the car?

I don't know if this would be considered an 'acceptable' solution to all, but it seems to me that spraying a few coats of clear Plasti-Dip or Armor-All's "Custom Shield" over a door sill in good...

Re: What are you listening to...?

Technically, it's 4 songs, but they have it assembled into a sort of.. "suite". Always blows me away:

Indeed.. Hawking even commented on this:

"Without imperfection, you or I would not exist"
  11. Re: We've lost a legend - Stephen Hawking dead at 76

I really don't want to get drawn into a religious discussion here, especially on a board that, IMHO, has always been about sharing knowledge and helping others... so I'll just say this:

    I've...

Re: Lent my buddy some of my collinite

LOL. That's one of the many reasons I bought this three pack of Meguiars dispensing bottles a while back. Mainly, I bought them because they're good quality and work great to portion product from...

Just found this out a few minutes ago. I originally went to college for Nuclear Engineering, and have always been extremely interested in astrophysics and cosmology, so this is definitely hitting me...
  15. Re: Does anybody own the SPX200E pressure washer?

Just a heads-up.. and I'm sure you'll probably hear this from the moderators.. but posting links to commerce sites outside of AutoGeek is a big no-no on these forums. That would include Amazon,...

    Re: Why???

    Poll: Re: Favorite Waterless Wash

An extra 10 seconds to give a final wipe/buff to the windshield to level/smooth the carnauba, and get a slick, water-shedding finish, sounds like a waste of time?
