    Re: Apartment Detailing

I've searched and searched, but couldn't find anything on it. I agree with the view on management. I know it's a long shot, but I was hoping it could be a point of pride for the complex or something...

    Re: Apartment Detailing

To add to the pricing issue, I've considered only raising the price of the basic wash to persuade the customer to add the wax. I've also considered not claying the car prior to the wax application....

    Apartment Detailing

    Hi everyone!

I've been planning for the last month or so to set up some contracts with apartment complexes. The basic idea is to set up at the front office of the complex and detail the residents'...

Re: Polishing an RV - What to buy?

Thanks I'll check them out. I just bought Griot's 6" so buying the Flex is out of the question at the moment.

Re: Polishing an RV - What to buy?

I believe the roof is a type of hard plastic. Was planning on just washing it and hitting problem spots with APC. It lives outside currently and my grandfather isn't looking for perfection.

Re: Polishing an RV - What to buy?

So I'm looking at buying this 3M Marine Rubbing Compound to remove the oxidation and hopefully the scratches. I'm thinking I'll try my DA, but if it's too slow then switch to the rotary with a wool...

Re: Polishing an RV - What to buy?

Is there a chance that it's just a standard clear coat? It seems to be different IMO, but I have no experience with RVs or boats so I wouldn't know.

If it is a gel coat, my dad has an old rotary I...

Polishing an RV - What to buy?

    Hey guys,

I've been asked by my grandpa to detail his RV inside and out. I want to make sure I have enough supplies before I start this as I've never detailed an RV before. I'm looking at this as...

Pretty excited about getting my first DA!
  13. Re: Cleaning water stains in headliner (sunroof leak)

Wow. That does not look fun. When I clean headliners I use a steamer and blot the spot with a towel after. APC on tougher stains. I've never had water spots though or that much surface to cover. Good...

    Re: Paint feels like sandpaper

The glass wasn't bad, but he had just taken it to the local car wash so maybe it was able to get it off the glass and not the paint

    Re: Paint feels like sandpaper

A DA is definitely the next thing I'm buying. I've been looking at Griot's. I may have to get that over with and start learning.

Is a one step easy enough to do as a mobile detailer? Also, how do...

    Re: Paint feels like sandpaper

My clay bar is medium grade. Iron X came to mind, but I don't have any. I may have to pick some up and try it.

I currently don't have a DA, but I plan to get into paint corrections in the near...

    Paint feels like sandpaper

So I detailed a guy's car today and it felt very rough to the touch. Even after being washed. I thought maybe it was the fact that it hadn't been clayed before, so I clayed the crap out of the car...

    Re: Company name help

Wow, that is genius. That's catchy and memorable on many levels and I think that the fact that it's sort of your last name means something. People will be asking.

As for me, I went with Hudson...

Re: Bissell Spotcleaners help and tips

This is the video that sold me on the machine. I may just try some carpet cleaners that foam a bit more to remove more dirt before extracting.
