I sacrificed a pad that I had overheated and killed the Velcro on. (things you learn)
Cut it into smaller chunks/strips and just rub the polish of choice by hand.

Most all APC works well, dilute it though and it might "wear out" your topcoat so you may need a reapplication in the general area.

I think the size of the beading you are seeing is because you waxed it and that is an improvement. It may look a little different in some areas but you are seeing beading from condensation not rain...
