Re: Stupid question about iron remover and brakes

I'll try that on my way home tonight and see if continues to improve. I appreciate the help.

Re: Stupid question about iron remover and brakes

This makes sense, but could this reaction still happen when cold and parked without the emergency brake on? My assumption was there is no actual contact between the pads and the rotor until/unless...

    Re: Rain after can coat

Man I wish I could. I'm cursed with being far too ocd about the car to leave those spots. It would drive me bonkers every time I see them...

    Re: Rain after can coat

I'm still doing everything by hand. Machine route just isn't an option at the moment. Would something like Meguiars M205 or wolfgang total swirl remover done by hand be enough to remove it?

    Re: Rain after can coat

I'm seeing this same thing. Ugh... Any idea on the best way to remove this coating without a machine so I can try again (with cure this time...)?

Re: Stupid question about iron remover and brakes

I mean logically it doesn't make sense to me that it could cause it somehow, but the coincidence is huge. It's just so strange..

Re: Stupid question about iron remover and brakes

I wasn't sure beforehand, so I tried to look up some information before I used it. Gyeon's page for iron literally has two pictures of rotors absolutely coated with the stuff.

Re: Stupid question about iron remover and brakes

The car had not been driven that whole day, and although it was a hot day over 90, it was evening and I was in the shade.

Stupid question about iron remover and brakes

So I had never used an iron remover before, but as I had gone much longer between details than normal, I added this step to my routine yesterday evening. I used Gyeon iron, and it seemed to provide...

    Rain after can coat

I've used can coat several times, but have always had a garage for it to cure in the past. I had no access to one this time, and applied it outdoors. We had no rain in the forecast, but ended up...

Anyone saying masks don't work are simply choosing to turn a blind eye to the science.

  14. Re: What's everyone's thoughts on the Covid-19 situation?

So the Ohio Department of Health is lying too? Riiiiight. If anyone believes this, I've got a bridge to sell you.
  15. Re: What's everyone's thoughts on the Covid-19 situation?

On a side note, it's both funny and terrifying that someone actually disliked my first post linking to the information from the Ohio Department of Heatlh. You're literally disliking facts. This is...

He had a chance to and failed miserably. Our last president initiated a war against science, medicine, and truth that is still ongoing. It has cost us dearly. Publicly denying that covid is a...

  19. Re: Liquid WOWA sealant enough protection for Pacific Northwest winter?

Thanks for all the input. After reading all the replies and doing some more research of my own, I think it would be best to stick with WDGPS for my winter protection and wait to try out a WOWA...

Well I guess that's a big no. We need some sort of matrix or interactive map that shows where everyone with a business is located. That would be really useful for people looking for a pro. So...

    Pro detailers in eastern Washington?

Just curious if any of you pros are in my general vicinity should I opt to go that route in the future. If so, I may have some follow up questions that we can take to email or PM. Thanks!
  22. Re: Liquid WOWA sealant enough protection for Pacific Northwest winter?

I haven't looked at UPGP. Is it more durable than the Blackfire and Wolfgang options?
  23. Liquid WOWA sealant enough protection for Pacific Northwest winter?

I've been a consistent user of Blackfire Wet Diamond and Wolfgang Deep Gloss sealants and have been very happy with the results. I've really been wanting to try one of their liquid variants. The...
