  1. Re: Product to prevent new Honda CRV cladding/molding from fading?

I like gtechniq c4 lasted about 2 years for me.
  2. Re: Weird interior materials- what should I do? (Pictures inside)

I think I'm going to try using a steam cleaner then using a fabric protectant. Any recommendations for fabric protectants?
  3. Re: Weird interior materials- what should I do? (Pictures inside)

I've looked at their "textile care kit" and its ~$40 plus shipping online and ~$60 at the stealership. It would be a good idea to contact the dealer and see what they recommend other than their kit.
  4. Re: Weird interior materials- what should I do? (Pictures inside)

Thanks for this. I've actually been looking at the hd interior protect for awhile. I'll give it a shot.
  5. Re: Weird interior materials- what should I do? (Pictures inside)

no it's much different. not as "fuzzy" or soft. This is closer to a performance soft-shell jacket. Maybe I'll try using the same stuff I use on my ski jacket lol.
  6. Re: Weird interior materials- what should I do? (Pictures inside)

I actually do have some lexol (I use it for my shoes haha). There isn't any leather in my car.
  7. Re: Weird interior materials- what should I do? (Pictures inside)

I think its watermarks. It leaves the material a darker color after cleaning and wiping dry. It doesn't stain it or change the color, it just looks darker like water was spilled there. This is even...
  8. Re: Weird interior materials- what should I do? (Pictures inside)

I haven't tried that. My thought was that if a lightly diluted left discoloration then a heavily diluted would be worse...
  9. Re: Weird interior materials- what should I do? (Pictures inside)

I've tried mild soap/water, diluted APC and chemical guys lightening fast stain remover diluted 20:1. All of these were tried in tests spots that are not readily visible and left behind water marks...
  10. Weird interior materials- what should I do? (Pictures inside)

I'm going to be doing a spring cleaning on my Volvo. The materials that Volvo used are peculiar, particularly the seats and dashboard. I'm not sure how to go about cleaning these and I'm hoping you...

My attempt at glass polishing. Decent results!

    What I used:
    Ceriglass glass polish
    Carpro rayon pad
Polisher (Rotary would be ideal, more later) I used a porter cable
    Microfiber towels
    Atomizer Mister
    Clay
    IPA
    Clay lube...

    Re: Quick White Landrover

5.5" hex pads. Next time I get pads I'm going to try the plain flat ones.

You guys aren't bringing me down! I've just always considered the m105/m205 combo the gold standard of polishing. I'm...

    Re: Quick White Landrover

Yea I suppose that was a bit of an overstatement especially with my limited experience. What would you consider the gold standard?
  14. Re: Glass polishing: Am I ready to go into the abyss?

Thanks everyone. I'll do a writeup then! I'm setting my time limit at around 4 hours. If that doesn't finish it I'm going to stop and wait until I can use a rotary.

It's crazy to think that a...

    Re: Quick White Landrover

I guess I've always assumed it's the gold standard because of the availability, price and flexibility of the product.

I've only ever used wolfgang swirl remover 3.0, m205 and some chemical guys...

    Re: Quick White Landrover

Really? I feel like I can never get them to look "wet" unlike dark cars.

    Re: Quick White Landrover

Thank you! Honestly, it's not that great and I wouldn't recommend it. Doesn't last long and isn't "super" shine at all. The best for plastic trim is the gtechniq C4 I think.

    Quick White Landrover

Did my Mom's neglected 2007 Land Rover LR3. Pretty good for a one step + sealant! Could have gotten much better results with m205 second step but this was a chore as it was. Sorry if the pictures...
  20. Re: Glass polishing: Am I ready to go into the abyss?

Thanks Mike, I didn't want to make a senseless post. I did my homework!

Does clay aggressiveness matter on glass? I don't want to make more work for myself.

When checking my work, can I just...
  21. Glass polishing: Am I ready to go into the abyss?

Hey everyone, just wanted to make sure I have everything together for what I'm about to do. That's right, I'm going to polish my windshield (my back hurts just thinking about it!)

    My 2007 Volvo...
  22. Re: Help me with my bucket list. Only storage space I have is a 5gal bucket!

    That's a good idea I hadn't considered. I'll look into that
  23. Help me with my bucket list. Only storage space I have is a 5gal bucket!

I'm a medical student and I'll be in small apartments or living on the road for the next 2 years for my rotations. Due to VERY limited storage space, I'm trying to assemble a kit for coin operated...
