  1. Re: Feel like idiot. Let a girl pass and she stopped so i moved little more and grazed a car but damage is not big

Actually, I was looking for pictures of the girl.
  2. Re: does anyone keep a jump starter in their vehicle(s)?

Absolutely invaluable. Mine is the size of a deck of cards. Also can charge phones and other devices. $50 has bailed me out 3-4 times, if you include boats.
  3. Re: CarPro Denim pad and Meguirs M105 not working on orange peel

CarPro Denim pads and M105 is the exact combo I used on a section of my car that was repainted and had minor-to-medium orange peel. I would say I worked an area 3-4 passes, less than 20 seconds and...

    Re: Menzerna Confusion

I still have a bottle of 106 FA (now SF-3500 or 3800), jewels a BMW finish like nothing else I've found.

    Re: PC vs Flex

I own both machines. The Flex will cut your buffing time in half, at least. I now use my PC with 3" pads for tighter areas, great 1-2 combination.

    Re: Mobile detail business?

She put some thought into her spam at least.
  7. Re: And now for something completely different - a little levity in light of the current issues of the day

I'm going to say no to using ONR for this wash. Actually, I wouldn't wash it at all, looks great like that.

    Re: COVID-19, Game plan???

My own personal strategy is to practice some fairly strong social distancing and ride it out at least past the first peak of cases that hit the hospitals. Roughly 5% of people who get the virus end...

Re: They're Even Out of Toothpicks ...

Why is everyone buying TP? This is a respiratory illness. And why is everyone going to Costco? Our local grocer had pretty much everything. I have some elderly neighbors, they were going to the...

Re: Question about automatic car wash

I'm always interested in this kind of thing. Perfect chance for an experiment. Record the day you apply the Collinite, keep track of the number of washes, tell us if the car seems protected (beads...

Re: Using Iron-X in a rinseless wash situation?

I have had this happen by trying to treat too many panels at once. I caught it fast and was able to re-wet the area with ONR and wipe it off fairly easily. However, this results in more Iron-X (and...

    Re: Winter cleaning options/products

Rinseless wash can be done in a garage with no drain. I did it for years. Wash the car, go have lunch, by the time you come back, the water on the floor has dried. Might take longer in the winter...

Re: Using Iron-X in a rinseless wash situation?

Good advice. I would say if iron remover gets into a nook by spraying, then you rinse that area, chances are the rinse will get in there too. Also, if iron remover gets somewhere and escapes rinsing,...

Re: Upcoming Project - Dealer Ruined Brand New Kia

This has been going on at dealerships for years. It's mind-boggling that apparently management and worker bees alike are happy to slap a rotary to car paint and not be interested enough to read a...

Re: Is it ok to top HD Speed with a sealant?

Thread bump alert - so I was looking for the latest in AIOs and durability, came across this thread. I like HD Speed for my wife's car and my son's car because they don't care that much. I detail...

Re: help, do I need a mini DA really?%%%%

PC 7424 was my first machine. I thought it took to long for larger jobs, so I bought a Flex. I now use the PC exclusively with 3" pads and I think it works great this way.

Re: Using Iron-X in a rinseless wash situation?

I prefer rinseless washes. I use a 2-gallon garden sprayer with ONR made with soft water from my house. So, short version, rinseless wash, Iron-X, rinseless wash. I do about a quarter of the car at a...

I hear you. I was mainly talking about the painted surfaces of the car, where keeping the clear coat nice through the winter is more of an issue than rust. The under surfaces of the car, well, we're...

    Re: Meguiars Hyper Dressing

Also a great product for wheel wells. If they're not too dirty and you don't feel like washing them, spray the HD on, it darkens them up nicely, done.

Re: Car wash in my basement

I do a rinseless wash in my garage (no drain) all the time. The water dries from the floor in about an hour. If I want the floor to dry faster, I drag an old bath towel around the car with my foot,...

Great video, learned some tricks watching it. Also must be a great sales tool.
  25. Re: How many here are still using the Porter Cable DA?

Same here, I use it with 3" pads only, use Flex with larger pads. The PC works great w/ smaller pads.
