Re: Mother's CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING

It states that it could be used as a booster over existing sealant. But if you follow the instructions, wouldn't you be polishing off the existing sealant? Or if you want to top the sealant, just...
  2. Re: Novice Detailer...what products does everyone recommend?

I have been liking Gyeon products especially Bathe+ and Wet Coat. Have to do less work to be protected.

Re: NEW MC KEES sio2 WASH

I reason I asked is because it seems like it has silicone dioxide in it but on the product page, it states no silicone. Seems to me that it's similar to Gyeon Bathe+ which I like.

Re: NEW MC KEES sio2 WASH

What does the sio2 stand for? I thought it would be silicone dioxide which would help protect the vehicle.

Re: NEW MC KEES sio2 WASH

Just to make sure I understand things, after rinsing, if I don't dry it quick enough, it will still spot. Is that correct? Basically the drying of the shampoo on the paint will not cause it to spot...

Re: NEW MC KEES sio2 WASH

The formula in the shampoo is what helps prevents spots. But when you rinse the shampoo off, won't the rinse water cause spots because the shampoo (and formula) is gone? I think I'm missing something...

Re: Sonax PNS vs Gyeon CanCoat

I have used PNS and liked the beading but it didn't feel slick. I'm going to try Can Coat with Bathe+ for a wash and using Wetcoat every month or so.

Re: Gyeon wet coat application questions

I've used it before and will again. I maintain it with Bathe+ as a shampoo. It will give Wetcoat a boost.
  10. Re: RUPES Sealant, Detailer, Maintenance Wash & Carnauba Wash *NEW*

    Yes
  11. Re: RUPES Sealant, Detailer, Maintenance Wash & Carnauba Wash *NEW*

Can the P808 be used after washing with the M707, considering the M707 has wax in it?
  12. Re: CarPro Essence - Now Available & It Ships for FREE!

I would think that Essence will remove the Hydro2. Whenever in doubt, I email the company.

Is there anything comparable that could be used with a cordless drill?

Re: Protecting roof rails and trim on new car

I'm trying to stay away from any type of coating. Especially if they're hard to remove.

Re: Protecting roof rails and trim on new car

I'll probably use Reload on it since I'll be using it to do the roof anyways. Plan on using Reload for the head and tail light plastics and alloy wheels too. Not sure what to use on the rubber strip...

Protecting roof rails and trim on new car

We got a new Forester a few months back. What should I protect the roof rails with? 303 Aerospace Protectant or Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus or a sealant (Reload)? It seems like it is smooth hard...
  20. Re: Introducing the DP Turbo Car Dryer! 6.5 Peak Horsepower Blower for Drying Your Car!

Seems like the trim adhesive worked. Tugged on the hose a bit and it didn't come off.
  21. Re: Introducing the DP Turbo Car Dryer! 6.5 Peak Horsepower Blower for Drying Your Car!

What is trim adhesive and where do you get it? Is it at automotive parts store (ie NAPA)? Thanks
  22. Re: Introducing the DP Turbo Car Dryer! 6.5 Peak Horsepower Blower for Drying Your Car!

Don't think a zip tie will work. Was thinking of a hose clamp but I don't think that will work either. There is a slope where the hose attaches, it's not straight. Might have to roughen up the...
  23. Re: Introducing the DP Turbo Car Dryer! 6.5 Peak Horsepower Blower for Drying Your Car!

How do you keep the hose from coming off the blower? Mine comes off at least two to three times when I use it. I was thinking about gluing it on. Don't really want to do it but it gets irritating...

    Re: Gyeon

Ordered Wetcoat and Bathe+. Was cheaper to order from England than US. Hopefully can use it this weekend on my wife's car.
  25. Re: I want to try a coating inexpensively - recommendations?

Although a sealant, I've gotten about 9 months out of Polymer Net Shield, and that is without using their quick detailer which makes it last longer.
