Re: Another DISO - new car.

Why so high? Is it ceramic coated? Is it more than swirls? Maybe provide the estimates and then offer to do it yourself for less?
  4. Re: Tips on removing graffiti scratches from glass

Yes it is. We did not get the polisher with the fluid injector so it really did not get a fair trial.
  5. Re: Tips on removing graffiti scratches from glass

We purchased a glass sanding and polishing kit for deeper scratches. Even though it works, it was a mistake. The time investment is too large. I regret to say that based on your description, the...

Sealant. We do 99% daily drivers, wax does not last long enough against bird droppings and bug damage. Ceramics are better, but on these daily drivers, they need detailed again before the useful life...

Re: How to correct these paint defects

In my opinion, those are not fixable. They are too deep and the paint is cracked. If you do not have a paint thickness gauge, and you have already compounded, let it go. Sorry

Re: spotting under brand new black car paint

I have seen something similar. In our case, it was moisture or solvent underneath the clear coat. We corrected it by warming the area with halogen lamps. THAT IS NOT MY ADVICE TO YOU. My advice is to...

  23. Re: Is it smart for me to spend 1800 on a 3 weekend course on detailing?

I have the same question for myself,. I would love to go to Competition Ready with Mike. I do not have an answer, but I have a thought. Sometimes we just have to make a decision and then live our...
