    Re: DQuartz Go review

No problem, I didn't really mention the product name except for the title.

From the limited reviews and videos I've seen, topping it with SIC or Gliss was common (if topping) to increase...

    DQuartz Go review

Been a long time since I tried something new, so I figured I'd do a little review/write up here.

It's a solid product, at least for the initial application. I can't yet comment on longevity.

  4. Re: Review: Pinnacle Black Label Leather Balm

Mike, do you know how this product will react with a leather seat that was repaired?

I had an accident with a pair of jeans that nearly ruined my leather car seat (a back pocket seam rivet on my...

Re: Year End Blow Out! Today Only!

Looking for a 16oz Tuf Shine tire coating. Web site says back order, how can I acquire this item?

I don't mind paying now and waiting a week or two, it's not a rush item...

    Re: New forum upgrade!

IMO, the entirety of the pages are too "white". It's a strain on my old(er) eyes. The side bar at the right (with the popular product links and calendar) needs to be darkened, as well as the user...
  8. Re: Does ceramic coating interfere with a car's electronics as a ceramic window tint does?

Mirrored tint may interfere with Radar Detectors, GPS, cell reception, but only if it's the older heavy metallic kind.

Tesla's windshield coating is metallic and does cause radar detector...

    Re: Mculloch 1275 or 1375?

    tile grout cleaning:

If it doesn't clean up with steam and agitation from the little plastic brush, you'll likely have to dye it to cover the stain.

BBQ/Grill cleaning. Brass or SS brush and...
  10. Re: Kwazar foaming sprayer bottle, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to look into that when I get back from the holiday break.
  11. Kwazar foaming sprayer bottle, what am I doing wrong?

I've been looking at this bottle for a while now to save my hands some grief while doing rinseless washes, so on the big black Friday sale I pulled the trigger and snagged one up.

    The weather has...
  12. Re: PRODUCT REVIEW: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating/Perfekt finish paint prep

I stand corrected and apologize for making an incorrect assumption. Thank you for the extra information. I do appreciate that from the Company.

Also, I'm sorry for the 15cc versus 20cc...
  13. Re: PRODUCT REVIEW: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating/Perfekt finish paint prep

    Thanks for the review SmokinSS.

I have a question that might offend some, but I'm going to ask it anyway...

Is this just repackaged optimum gloss coat?

The tube seems oddly similar. So...

    Re: Chrysler leather

Sonax makes a dedicated Alcantara cleaner that is supposedly great. I've personally never tried it, but that might be in a future order to try.

And as Bob probably knows, there is no such thing...

    Re: Chrysler leather

He's got real leather. It's coated leather, so no need for a dedicated conditioner.

Use the APC as builthatch described. If you've got the suede inserts that's actually Alcantara, a type of...
  16. Re: can 3401 with mf pads take out 2500grit sandng marks?

Should work, but if you're doing a large area, or a whole car, a foamed wool pad might be easier to work than MF pads on the flex. If it's just a spot fix, you can probably fight thru it.

    Re: Souveran-Fuzion "Test"

Not to muddy the waters here, but I would wager that if their truly is any difference to the overall look between these two waxes, silver and white might be the toughest colors to judge it on.

Re: Best way to clean a washer and dryer?

IPA wipe the barrel of the dryer. I'd use full strength. You can wash the screen in the sink and allow to air dry.

Run an empty load in the washer with a cup of bleach to disinfect it, and pull...

  25. Re: Using Spray Max 2k Clearcoat on headlights?

I would say that 200 grit is way too aggressive to start.

    I'd go 600, 1000, 2000, and see where you're at.

Clearcoat is funny sometimes, as it doesn't always fill like it should especially on...
