  1. Re: Drying towels: is the PFM by Griot's still the best?

You guys are jerks. Just spent another $60 at AG thanks to your rave reviews and empiricism.

Seriously, this forum is awesome. Long-time reader, occasional poster, I've learned about the...

Re: Poll: Do you wash after claying?

    Rinse with pressure washer
    Foam
    2-bucket wash
    Rinse
    Re-foam
Griot's Garage surface prep mitt (fine/yellow) with foam as lube
    Rinse
    LSP or polish

This has worked beautifully for me for about...

Re: Best product to clean tyres

I like the Mike Phillips "wheels-first" method. I spray Sonax Full Effect and let it dwell while setting up a bucket with CG Citrus Wash & Gloss with all my brushes. Nothing special for the tires. ...

    Re: Cleaning Aluminum Rims

I've heard #0000 steel wool works magic on uncoated aluminum rims. I've always done it by hand with Blue Magic, because I went to The Citadel and assume that everything shiny is derived from pain.

    Re: vinyl tonneau protectant?

Further, the formulation in 303 seems to actually address the problem of UV exposure to plastics. It's not just a "check the box" so they can put it on the label. The Aerospace Protectant is a...

    Re: vinyl tonneau protectant?

303 Aerospace Protectant is the best show in town by a mile. Anything plastic or rubber needs 303. I use it on tires too. It's a clean, durable finish on anything.

  7. Re: What is everyone's opinion on the Griots Garge products?

Clay is optional now- check out Griot's decontamination mitt. They do a video showing how you can use it with the car still wet, using your clean soap bucket if you 2-bucket wash. I do it that way...

    Re: Nano skin sponge questions

I used ONR in the clay lube dilution with the nanoskin sponge, FWIW. I might have gotten a defective specimen but I'll never use a nanoskin product again.

    Re: Nano skin sponge questions

Throw it out. I got a blue sponge and it transformed my car into a "before" picture for paint correction- fine and medium scratches all over. I've used clay for year with no issue, it just takes...
  10. Re: Autogeek staff: Has the issue with Nanoskin sponges been fixed?

You're right about being ready to polish after a decontamination, but this was just ridiculous. I've never had this issue with clay except in extremely rare, localized areas. With the Nano Sponge,...
  11. Re: Autogeek staff: Has the issue with Nanoskin sponges been fixed?

Sure did- it was meticulously broken in on all the glass on the car before it ever touched paint. I watched the videos on how to do that, and I used ONR in a sprayer as lube, applied liberally, to...
  12. Re: Autogeek staff: Has the issue with Nanoskin sponges been fixed?

Interesting- I just bought a Nanoskin sponge that effortlessly installed hundreds of fine scratches all over my Camry. It was my first experience with a clay substitute! I'm going to try the...

Re: Collinite 476S vs. Jetseal 109

I haven't used 476s but I'll be happy to send you my 75% full bottle of JetSeal 109 if you're not convinced yet. I have 845 and 915, and I feel like a gullible idiot for buying anything else...

Re: Auto Magic or Meguiars for drying aid?

Wanted to follow up on this thread since I got D156 and have been using it for a couple months now:

In my opinion HydroShine wins, but they are both great products. HydroShine is better as a...

Re: Auto Magic or Meguiars for drying aid?

Hey guys, I have used Auto Magic Hydro Shine, and I love it.

Since I moved in from Hawaii 6 months ago, I can't find anybody local that sells it, and I haven't found anything close to replace it. ...

    Re: Glass sealant

Good call- it's trending at about a month of durability. Still, this is leaps and bounds beyond Rain-X. I'm 2 weeks in since applying and noticed the sheeting effect takes more speed to show up. ...

    Re: Glass sealant

I've been a Rain-X user for many years. Nothing beats it fresh, but it's fresh for about 36 hours, which counts for 18 in Hawaii.

I tried JetSeal 109 but it was so awful on glass that I...

    Re: new 2014 camry recomendations

    Re: new 2014 camry recomendations

I have a 2012 Camry SE and the user above me is absolutely wrong. The Accord is a nice car but after the 2013 update is now comparable to the Camry. I'm not going to be a flame troll by saying the...
  20. Re: You are wasting Your Time and Money, All of You!

  21. Re: Detailing How-To Book and Detailing How-To E-book
