Re: Request input on First logo

I do like that you added the embossing to the new font, however I think that the added shadows are a bit much. I would also leave the bottom as it was, and only emboss Revive. You'll lose clarity...
  2. Re: Bad Yelp Review? Use it to your advantage

Kind of pretentious to be proud of not doing work for people who live in apartments.

But congrats on the good reviews.

    Re: Cleaning honeycomb plastic grilles?

What was linked was the wheel woolie brush, not a wheel woolie.
  4. Re: Air Injection, i.e Garry Dean - is it ok for Rinseless Wash

I believe it is also because it is a "drier" approach. There is not much lubrication when wiping.
  5. Re: Air Injection, i.e Garry Dean - is it ok for Rinseless Wash

During one of his demonstrations he says it may cause swirls, but that's okay because he doesn't have time for people who whine about swirls because they're so easy to get out.

    To me, that's not...

    Re: 2007 GTI: Never Washed

The HF DA is a great machine, but its backing plate and the HF pads should be replaced immediately. The polisher itself should serve you very well.

Grab a lake country 5" backing plate and some...

    Re: Brinkman Dual Xenon/LED EXTINCT?

It's literally the exact same thing as the gray one. If you were going to buy that then no reason not to get the white one.

Mine has held up for about 2 years now.

Just be careful with a pressure washer.

    Re: Clothe top overspray

Also, use a beach towel to cover up the glass. You can tape the top in place (and bottom if you're outdoors or there's a fan) and not have to worry about using a lot of tape.

    Re: Harbor freight pads

You will need a 5" backing plate. It is worth the investment. The smaller pads and backing plate will allow you to get the most out of the Harbor Freight DA.

Just get the blue and white one while you can.

    Re: Foam sealant on paint!

Try a bug/tar remover to dissolve it? Maybe even goo gone.

If that fails, then a plastic razor blade followed by clay should do the trick.
  16. Re: GIVEAWAY! Someone will get a lot of goodies

Adding the pictures I promised earlier. My Nikon D3300 just arrived today, so I will be able to do better pictures and videos than these, this is just with my phone. Car is a little dirty from...
  17. Re: GIVEAWAY! Someone will get a lot of goodies

I will put up a picture of my coated car this evening. I picked up PBL Coating v1 during the sale a couple of weeks ago, and coated my car this past weekend.

I have a couple of spots I need to...

    Re: Junk On Pads

Does the car have tinted clear coat? By you saying it's "muddy" and not just "black", perhaps the clear coat is tinted.

    Re: Orange peel

Generally speaking, no - traditional pads will not level orange peel over time. They are soft enough to move with the peaks and valleys of the orange peel - and therefore you will see consistent...

Re: best da/polisher for lens corrections?

I usually charge $50 for the first light, then $25 for each additional. That's with sanding. If they're just yellow it's around half.

Fog lights (if they're small) I'll usually do $15. If...

Re: best da/polisher for lens corrections?

I use Meguiars 3" discs with their foam interface pad.

    I have 320, 500, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, and 3000. I typically do 3 steps starting at 800 and step up to 500 or 320 if it's really bad. ...

Re: best da/polisher for lens corrections?

I've used a GG 3" with success, but I generally use the HF DA. Any DA (PC, GG 6", Rupes Mini/Duetto) that can take a 3" backing plate works great.

One of the 3m kits comes with a backing plate...

    Re: Porsche Panamera paint

What do you mean, "without more product" when using the black pad?

Were you just going over what was left on the paint from the orange pad?

Did you use a polish, or dry buff?
