Re: Collinate 845..I had to do it

I have been using it for about 5 years. I have compared it to many other coatings and waxes.
Still the best I have used.

Re: ONR on salty cars - Question about drying

Been using it for at least 4 years on Canadian salted car.
My method works both winter and summer.
2 buckets, sponge wash, rinse sponge in second bucket, drying towel to dry.
    I then wash my drying...
  3. Re: Recommend temp to apply wheel coating and sealant

Why not follow the manufactures recomendations?

60 to 70 degrees seems to be the norm.

    Re: Concours Metal Sealant

    Have used lots.
Let dry 15 minutes wipe off.
Takes 3 to 4 hours to "cure" but who knows.

Re: leather cracking - need advice

You need the dye to cover these.

Have it done by an automotive leather installer shop.

They will clean the cracks and apply the dye.

After use a leather protectant sold here to restore shine.

    Re: Clearcoat spots (?)

You can do small spots all the time.

You need a polisher for 2' x 2' sections to be effective.

Megs Ultimate Compound and Ulitimate Polish on a soft microfiber pad (they are blue about 5 ")...

    Re: Brown tires?

Tire blooming (turns brown) for me was on new Firestone tires.

Showed up about 2 weeks after installed.

APC and stiff brush removed most.

    Applied dressing.

    One week later blooming back.
  8. Re: What speed for a finishing Polish and black pad?

    Black ThinPro has zero cut.

    Finish polish only.

Speed doesn't really matter, but 4 is easy to control.

I use same arm speed for most applications and number of passes to get job done.

    As...

    Re: Sanded through clear

No the clear will stay the way it is.

Actually there is no clear there and what you see is the basecoat.

You will need to basecoat the burn through and then clear the whole panel.

    It is...

    Re: Yellow road line paint

Lacquer Thinner or Window Washer Fluid if it is latex paint.

Key is to put some on cloth or paper towel and let soak for awhile.

    Then wipe off.

Unfortunately it is small sections at a time...

    Repeat the claying to check.

Re: Will dust hurt my paint

I don"t get the risk of dust damageing paint.

Surley waxed or sealed paint can resist the "dust" no matter what it is.

Blasting it off or wiping it off is no different than if it rains on the...
  15. Re: Liquid WOWA sealant enough protection for Pacific Northwest winter?

I live in South Western Ontario Canada.

Opti-Seal will last the whole winter no problem.

Easy to apply but should have paint as good as you want before use.

    In spring repeat.
  16. Re: Color pad for Griot’s Boss Finishing Sealant

It depends on the polish too.

Do a test spot and then decide.

Re: How long does it take you?

A more usefull tool would be what saved you time.

I don't mind spending as much time as it takes to get the desired results (DD only).

But I also like to use a better way if available.

    That...

Re: Convert PC 7424XP to 3", or buy Griot's 3"?

It is not better than the PC, it is just easier to control.
Use the proper pad and tool combination and should have good results.

Re: Convert PC 7424XP to 3", or buy Griot's 3"?

I have both and find it usefull when polishing.

The 3" with Thin Pro Pads does a very good job (does get a little warm when running longer times).

I try not to exceed each machines limits.
