  1. Re: For those of you who have used Zymol Glasur

Use your bare hands. It took awhile to get used to it first, but for glasur thats the only way to do it right. Some SV waxes are the same.

    Re: Menzerna v Meguiars

Menz and it's not even close. But for my personal cars I use scholls concepts s3 gold and sonax perfect finish. 105 and 205 are ok, but highly overrated.

Re: Up Close & Personal: Sonax Perfect Finish

I have limited use with spf on hard paint, but on soft paint with a rupes yellow pad it is a great one step process if the paint isn't all jacked up.

    Re: Microfiber detailing towels

Where's all of the fools that claimed that costco/sam's club towels were good enough for paint and that buying 530/600/700gsm towels were a waste of money?

Re: chemical guys direct order - how's it ?

If you live on the west coast it is much faster than ago. Ago is the slowest shipper by far, but it's probably due to the distance.
  7. Re: Anyone use Microfiber towels from Dollar General

costco towels suck too. I only use them for wheels or rags. Raise your standards and get some better stuff. It's worth it. Buy the 10 pack of 530 gsm from mft for 30 bucks.

    Re: Pads for Rupes 15

I love the rupes yellow and white pads. The greens and blues are ok. Otherwise I use BnS pads. Ordered some scholls concepts pads. Super expensive, but was too curious about them and gave in and...

Re: Getting Sold on High Quality MF Towels

I don't know how any professional could use those sam's or costco mf towels on paint. I have the costco ones, but only for use as crap duty on engine, exhaust pipes, and drying the fenderwell.

Re: 3M Paint Defender - Protection Film

This is probably a great product for guys going to track days. Instead of using blue painters tape all over the front of their cars, they can use this then remove it after the track weekend is over.

Re: Lake Country Hydro Pads Separating

Try buff and shine pads. They are much better made and work just as good or better than lake country pads. I've never had any problems with buff and shine pads, but have had lots of problems with...

Re: Cant wait to try out my new stuff

I use a big soft sponge I got from dd. The paste is better imho, but you can't go wrong with the spray too.

Re: Swissvax...is it really that good?

SV is awesome. I have concorso and insignis v3. If you're looking to get into premium waxes, maybe you should start with AF illusion or zymol glasur as they are also great but a lot cheaper than sv...

    Re: Rupes pad selection

BnS pads have the strongest velcro/glue that I have found. I would try those instead of the megs pads. The rupes pads are surprisingly good too.

    Re: Post Your Unpacking Pictures

Yeah the short hair isn't available in the usa, but can be ordered from the uk. I've been buying and trying out more uk stuff lately. I blame darren for this.

  22. Re: Latest Microfiber Additions to the Cardaddy stable

mftech is really cheap for 530 gsm towels (30 bucks for 10 towels) and their prices on 600 gsm (12 bucks) and 700 gsm (13 bucks) 3 packs are a bargain and great towels for qd as they both have thick...

Have you tried SPF and the Rupes yellow pad...

Have you tried SPF and the Rupes yellow pad first to see if you don't need to use a MF pad and fg400? On soft paint cars that combo is all I need most of the time. I only use MF pads on hard paint...
  24. Re: CG Glassworkz Optical Clarity Glass Cleaner dilution question?

50/50 mix works for me. 100% always streaks. I guess you can try a lower dilution, but I like 50/50 mix. Cleans well and leaves no streaks like before.

I've had good experiences with other scholls concept products so I wouldn't be surprised if this product is good. I like their polish better than menzerna, but it is quite a bit more expensive so if...
