    Re: Buckets for Grit guards

I ran across a guy selling 7 home depot buckets for $10 on craigslist. I didn't end up needing them and he never responded, but there are deals out there if you need cheap buckets.
  2. Re: Optimum ONRWW and Spray wax incompatible with Collinite?

I don't see why you can't top either with either. They're both Carnauba-based. At the very worst, you will maybe remove some of the spray wax while applying the Collinite since it involves...
  3. Re: Optimum ONRWW and Spray wax incompatible with Collinite?

I sandwich Collinite 476 between Opti-Seal and Optimum spray wax and it looks great. The 476 just sits there and does all the heavy lifting and the OCW works as my post-wash touch up wax because...

Re: User Friendly Paste Wax for Winter?

A DA polisher with a wax application pad and the microfiber bonnet kit will make it so painless and easy you wont ever go back.

Spinbrush and an old pad = secret weapon?

I have seen a few posts recently about getting into the nooks and crannies around emblems or other tight spots to remove the other guy's wax.

A crazy idea popped into my head for a simple tool...
  6. Re: Odd issue: Pencil marked headliner~Solution needed.

Actually if you're going to resort to abrading it, you can get some pretty soft art type erasers that will reduce your chances of damaging the headliner.

The kind that comes to mind is the...
  7. Re: Odd issue: Pencil marked headliner~Solution needed.

Can you find an analog of the fabric and replicate the issue? maybe then you can test some remedies.

At least the Honda guy said since he got the extended warranty he got a voucher for more than the cost of...

    Re: Washing with Dawn

I think the first link was an accident. They were supposed to be the same non-professional product (i.e. safe for skin contact).

Sounds like it's not vastly different from a non-stripping car...

Re: Cream of tartar for cleaning windows

cream of tartar is a mild acid (pH around 5) so it probably helps remove water spots and other nasty stuff.

    Re: Washing with Dawn

    Mr Megane,

When you say "hand washing up liquids", it sounds like you're talking about hand soaps. I'm not sure these are the same formulation as Dawn dish washing liquid as they are probably...
  14. Re: So I had to apply wax with a white lc pad the other day and it got me thinking!

Maybe next time consider the luxurious "hand massage" wax application.
  15. Re: Anyone know the active ingredient in Chemical Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss?

    oh crap!

I got lazy and didn't clean out my foam gun (with CW&G) a few weeks back.

    Now I'm afraid to.
  16. Re: Please check out my website, logo, menu etc. and let me know what you think?

Nice take on the car silhouette for your logo!

I have to agree about adding some color or maybe a photo to the front page. For a second I thought it hadn't finished loading.

    Also the subtle...

    Re: Tiny ripples in reflection.

Based on what I've seen posted here by the experts (including Mike), factory clear coat isn't thick enough to withstand removal of orange peel.

It looks good--I really like the font and stylization, but consider letting the logo stand on its own without any additional embellishment (the graphic inside).

Re: What pad size when applying wax via DA?

with wax, you're moving across the surface pretty fast so size isn't as much of an issue. but if you can't fit a 5.5" pad into your can of wax, then use something smaller.

Re: Yes... Another "Critique My Business Card Thread"

Most, but not in the same market hopefully!

Also if you question it, you question many on this forum.

Still, I agree it's bcoming dangerously ubiquitous.
