    Re: Porter Cable 7424xp problems?

The best performance I got out of my PCXP was using the Meguiar's microfiber pads. The thin pads really help the machine out. They have since come to the market with thin foam pads. I haven't bought...

    Re: Basecoat/clearcoat? OR Single Stage?

I cheated and saw the FB post first before posting here. ;) I think we're so used to seeing dull, faded, oxidized single stage paint on an old car we instantly can call it SS. Surprising that this...

Thank you. As far as using these brushes on a Flex, I do not know. I don't own a Flex, but maybe someone who does could chime in.

  8. Review: Wolfgang Carpet and Upholstery Restorer

Good Day fellow detailers. I finally got around to using a new and improved product from Wolfgang. Just like "DanLAXX1" I too was fortunate enough to receive this bottle of Wolfgang Carpet and...

Re: WG Finishing glaze under McKees coating?

It is a finishing Polish, not a glaze. I think they should rename it as this confusion comes up frequently. As you can see from the product description, it contains no fillers...

Re: Who has dirty carpets to clean?

My back was finally up to the task today and have some good pics to share when I do the official review. I can't seem to be able to upload my pics, so it'll have to wait until I get to my desktop pc...

Re: Who has dirty carpets to clean?

Sorry. Mine is forthcoming. I've been working too much and battling my bad back to boot. Hope to give it a go this weekend, as work has gotten back to a normal pace. Here's to hoping my back...
  13. Re: Review and How-to: McKee's 37 Wax Remover for Plastic

I'd imagine a possible work-around would be to liberally spray the Wax Remover onto the brush, then work the brush into the problem area. It may take a couple passes, but it might solve the...
  14. Re: Pictures: 1993 Ford Explorer Extreme Makeover Featuring McKee's 37

Looks great! Nice work everyone. Looks like you had enough people to work shoulder-to-shoulder around the whole SUV!

Quick question: what did you use on the wheels and tires?
  15. Re: 24 Hours Only! 20% Off + Free Shipping, Freebies with every order AND a Free Gift!

I miss the days when it was $50 min. for free shipping. Then it crept up to $95, then $125, then $150, now $195. I'm pretty much paying for shipping from here on out. My orders just don't get that...

Re: Who has dirty carpets to clean?

I've got two cars with tan carpets, so it makes for a great before and after. Here's a current pic of our daily that's got a fair amount of stains.

Re: The #7 Rub Down Technique by Mike Phillips

I've never tried those glazes on single stage paints, but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say no, they won't do the job like #7 will. They are designed for modern paint with clearcoat, while #7...

    Re: Clear Coat Failure

I remember seeing this video a while back and it might apply to your car's paint. Considering the only way to get it looking best is a re-spray, you can try this out and maybe make it look better...
  23. Poll: Re: How many people are interested in learning how to wet sand?

I've watched some videos on it, with some reading up on it, but have never tried it myself. I guess I'm too nervous making the attempt. I would love to learn both techniques - by hand and machine....

  25. Re: Using the least aggressive for a brand new car.

You don't need to worry that much about it. It's a brand new car, so you're not going to remove a lot of clear on your 1st polish. Maybe if it's been polished 50 times, but not the 1st polish. If you...
