    Re: GG BOSS Microfiber pads

Thanks for the info. I also asked GG directly and they said the new ones finish down better with about the same cut.

    GG BOSS Microfiber pads

They used to be black with red foam and now they're white with red foam, the knapp looks a little shorter now, but any other differences? Anyone know why they changed it up recently?

Re: Who here uses paint depth gauges?

I use one before any polish, and have refused to polish many because the paint was too thin.

Re: Coating single stage paint - should you?

So based on the comments so far, a 90's SS car should be fine to coat if the wipe from a product like Eraser doesn't dull the paint? I'm assuming this would be the case even if a bit older as well....
  5. Re: What's in the box? NEW Griot's BOSS 15mm & 21mm Polishers

Would like to hear your thoughts on this generation of polishers vs the previous generation. Also, didn't they do away with the BOSS name?

    Re: SEMA 2020/2021 New Products

Feel free to dive right in, you won't be disappointed. I use all their polishers and their BOSS line of polishes and pads and they are all great. I rarely reach for Meguiar's polishes/compounds...

Has it been mentioned anywhere how the new coating compares to UK 3.0?

    Re: SEMA 2020/2021 New Products

I'm excited for the new GG pads and backing plate. I still wish they'd make a direct competitor to the Rupes nano.

    Re: Disappointment

I've had one or two returned to AG also for damage by UPS. I prefer FedEx whenever possible.

Re: Coating experts: I need your opinions here

I recently washed a car coated in Ceramic Pro and it didn't feel like it had a coating at all. CarPro coatings you can tell there's a coating on there, it's so easy to clean and very smooth, but not...
  12. Re: Griot's Garage G15/G21 Long-Throw Orbital Polisher *Ground-Up Redesign*

It would be great if everyone bought made in America products, employed all the workers out here, and cut out China and other countries completely. Will that happen? Of course not. Not until...

Made in America does not automatically mean it's better quality.

Re: Griot's Garage BOSS Creams: Explained

That's exactly how they match up. I started out with M105/M205 when they first came out and as of today, there's no reason to still use M105. M205 has enough cut and finishes well enough to be one...
  15. Re: Good polish and compound combo other than Meguiar's

Once you use Griot's BOSS line there's not much reason to go back and use anything else. On occasion I still use M205 and D300 depending on the car.
  16. Re: If you could only use two or three product lines for all your detailing needs, what would you choose?

If I had to pick, it would be an easy choice, Griot's from top to bottom. Other than long term coatings, I wouldn't need to buy any other brand.

Poll: Re: Battle of Entry Level Coatings...

Cancoat seems to be a little underrated and that's a shame. Besides making sure the spray nozzle doesn't clog up after use, it's the easiest LSP to apply that I've ever used, much less coating. I...

At this point I don't think I'll coat bare aluminum wheels anymore.
  21. Re: DLUX on bare aluminum wheels getting water spots

After coating they sat for a few days before they were mounted on the car and a couple days later they saw rain for a few days. About 9 days after the coating they were washed and that`s when the...
  22. DLUX on bare aluminum wheels getting water spots

    Re: Facebook Detailing group?

So let's just let them do and say whatever they like because trying to moderate the page is difficult? That's why it's the way it is now.

Either way, it's still not Facebook's fault.
