    Re: Cquartz UK 3.0 Prep

Use Essence, or if it's not cutting it, use Carpro Clearcut then Essence. I've applied about 4 bottles of UK 3.0 to various paints and never really see any benefit from more than 1 coat.

  4. Re: Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash (dilution as detail ratio) vs Wolfgang Spritz Detailer

Have used several bottles of each I would definitely say the detail spritz leaves the surface Slicker than Uber and maybe a slight edge on gloss. Also the detail spritz buffs off quicker that uber. ...

    Re: Coating Cars Outdoors

Have applied CQUK 3.0 several times outdoors without issue. Just not during pollen season. A quick wipe down on the panel right before coating and your set.

Boss Microfiber Fast Cutting pad with Clearcut, then Correcting pad with Essence, then Cquartz UK 3.0. The pictures posted are just after Clearcut.

Been using zep 505 uncut for years, works better than anything else if ever tried to cut through grime and oil based dressings.

Re: Trouble with CQuartz UK Longevity--Tips?

Try Essence plus with a finishing pad, low speed, low pressure to restore the coating and clean the paint up.

Love me some Cquartz UK 3.0. Occasional wipe down or Rinseless Wash with Ech2o. Also...

Re: Sio2 interior Protestant for vinyl and plastic

Carpro Perl is a silica plastics protectant as well as Ech20. I use both on interiors for its UV protective qualities. I imagine the new Elixir, once released, will be even better on interiors.

Re: Your Favorite Wash and Wax

Mckee's Rinse free Wash and Wax is my favorite. Get a noticeable better gloss/glow on dark paints with it. Also very versitle for other uses such as instant detail and clay lube.

Have used it 1:8 as a pre coating prep on countless vehicles, works great. Also use it prior to painting anything.

    Re: Mckee's paint coating problems.

Same experience. V2 is really hard to remove, even wiping immediately. I will say it does get super slick once cured, better than Cquartz. I experimented cutting mckee's V2 3:1 with 10 Min paint...

  25. Re: The case against multi-year ceramic paint coatings - Road Grime = Surface Staining Daily Drivers by Mike Phillips

They're all a little different in my experience. Mckee's 37 is as slick as any sealant or wax I've used. Cquartz UK is not as slick, EXO+CSL somewhere between.
