  1. Re: Polishing question , when no correction achieved, are we still removing clear?

Tool, technique, products and the paint. All these matter.
  2. Re: Polishing question , when no correction achieved, are we still removing clear?

Using abrasives removes clear, that’s what they do.
  3. Re: Polishing question , when no correction achieved, are we still removing clear?

First off, you are not removing defects. You are removing clear around them to minimize the appearance. If you use an abrasive on your paint , you are removing material.

Good for you, I came back after awhile, but now, I’m not posting here any longer for exactly your reasons. Hope you find another forum to enjoy.

    Re: Griot's G9 observation...

I’ve had mine since the announcement. With a 5 inch setup on speed 5 it will not stall. And I standby the statement it will out work any 15 da on the market. The additional power more than makes up...
  6. Re: New Mazda, go at this with your rotary and wool pad!

Exactly! And not so much joking. We all know the people who would do a 3 day hundred hour 4 step correction on this ! With no consideration of the future of the car or consequences for the owner.
  7. New Mazda, go at this with your rotary and wool pad!

These are before correction of dealership wash...

It’s meant to make it a bit easier for beginners.
  15. Re: Ceramic Coating & Apply Wax/Sealant On Top?

Gyeon would recommend a wax on top if you were releasing the car into a rain situation to help prevent water spots until the coating was fully cured. The waxes and Sealant won’t last and as said,...

    Re: Griot's G9 observation...

I’ve had mine quite a while, 5 inch only. You’ll have no issues at all. I put it up against any 15 da out there!
  17. Re: Griots Garage product stained my rims - here is my attempt at a fix

I’ll be honest, those rims look like they were refinished before and the paint came off. The Griot’s product will not do that.
  18. Re: Long lasting ceramic coating conflicting info

It depends on your maintenance habits. My wife’s car has Modesta BC08, a 3 year coating. It has been maintained by washing every 3 weeks and I’ve used the Modesta maintenance products. I coated it 3...

Re: IR Lamp curing time for coatings

It’s not the time, it’s what temp the surface gets to. Call carpro and ask them.

Re: What pads to buy for Griots G9?

I hammer on my microfiber pads all the time. I wash all my pads in a machine and air dry them in the dryer. I have some that are 6 months old and still fine. You’ll have no problem with durability.
