Sticky: Re: ONR: The Definitive Thread

I've found that the qd ratio works more along the lines of a waterless wash than just a qd.

    Re: 303 fabric guard

When I used it on interior during the summer, it took a couple days to cure.

Couple shots of my daily driver canvas convertible top. It is garages but sees a 140 mile round trip commute 2-4 days per week. Cleaned with 303 cleaner and 2 applications of fabric guard back in...

    Re: Old leather

Yes, that does sound exactly like the right product. Actually sounds similar to the Obenauf's leather oil, also.

The thing I'm concerned about is, despite how effective these products are on...

    Old leather

This discussion seems to always be around with two camps. Full grain leather conditioner like Lexol or a light cleaning and *maybe* wiping with a silicone type product.

    But lets try anyways. The...

Re: Thoughts on plastic cleaners and polish

No experience with either, but I have been using Blue Magic headlight/plastic polish for years with great results. Both by hand and with a power drill kit.

Has anybody tried Obenauf's on their automotive leather? I have experienced great results with their oil on leather jackets as well as their LP on both heavy jackets and boots. Not sure if the LP...

    Re: Clothe top overspray

Perfect, exactly what I was thinking about! Now that I have two coats on with the overspray cleaned up, I hope that I won't get to test that method until next year but who knows.

Used up all my claybar last year, or maybe even before that. I usually don't clay before waxing due to time and sun issues, but I have heard nanoskin makes this chore MUCH easier so I am kind of...

    Re: Waxing after ORN

Use ONR mixed to the QD ratio all the time for spot treatment and wipe downs before quick cleaner wax jobs. Although IIRC I did have issues with it once, don't remember which wax it was, though.
