For plastic and some metals I use SolutionsFinish but not on rubber. For
that I've had good luck with Collinite 845 or 476S. I wash with a good
quality car shampoo and then follow the application...

I've used 845 and it's paste twin 476S on plastic and rubber trim with no
problems. F150 SuperCrew with black textured mirror housings and door
handles and never a problem.
I apply Collinite 845 and 476S to the glass, all plastic trim, including the plastic mirror housings and door handles, all rubber trim and all chrome.
