No its still a catalysted clear. 24-48 hours is optimal because the clear hasn’t cured too hard yet. You can do it later than this but the clear is going to put up more of a battle.

I think that only applied to the first generations versions. I've never done anything to any of my FLEX polishers and they run great.

As others have said in time the indents will work themselves out. For a quicker solution use steam. A steaming hot towel works well also (just not dripping wet).
