Re: Commuting for work - how far is too far?

It really seems that this job is the way to go. Room for learning, growth, and an all around awesome place to work it seems. No matter where I go, it seems some sort of issue will exist, so I just...

    25 years! That's good stuff.

With all the new items available for listening, it seems I can really help make the drives entertaining and/or some sort of self-improvement time. Satellite radio,...

Re: Commuting for work - how far is too far?

This is 100% true. In this career (like many others), the day you stop learning is the day you kill your career. Where I'm at now has begun to bore me to death because I'm doing things that I learned...

Re: Commuting for work - how far is too far?

Yeah, that's rough. I'm in South Florida and I'll be driving from Royal Palm Beach down to Weston if you're familiar with the areas. Luckily, I won't be hitting the crazy traffic down in Miami (a hot...

Re: Commuting for work - how far is too far?

That's very true. The biggest thing to me is not sacrificing time with my wife and daughter (she's 4 months old, so I don't want to miss her growing up!) The commute is what it is it seems. I think I...

Can't watch the videos while I drive :)

Yeah, I know that is very common in California, New York, and other places. I talked to my wife about it and she is very supportive. I know this is up...

Commuting for work - how far is too far?

    Hello my fellow geeks!

Like many of us on the forum I work in a different profession by day and let out my inner detailer at night and on the weekends.

That being said, where I am now is a...

Re: Wash and wax on a hot day

I've washed mine and my wife's car in direct sunlight for quite some time now. Once I get the hose out, foam gun ready, and buckets filled up (2BM + 1 for the wheels/tires) I can perform a complete...

  18. Re: Coating a set of Cosmis Hyper Bronze Racing Wheels! Yum yum...

Great write up as usual, Mike.

I'm definitely interested in this. I haven't been around since late December simply because my daughter was born on 12/28/16.

I think this would be a great experience and would love...
  23. Re: What do you do to protect leather seats with a car seat installed?

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I ended up buying the Brica product from Target on my lunch break today. $25 a piece is cheap insurance to help protect the leather from pressure points.
  24. Re: What do you do to protect leather seats with a car seat installed?

For sure - I've dealt with lingering milk spills and it is NOT pleasant to say the least.

Thanks for the suggestion and congrats to you as well! My little girl has a due date of January 3rd.

  25. What do you do to protect leather seats with a car seat installed?

    Hey Everyone!

So since I'm on baby watch for the next couple of weeks (expected due date of January 3rd... but who knows!) I installed a car seat base into my wife's car.

    Following the...
