Just reach in through the wheel and drag your finger across the face of the rotor (where it's shiny silver) from the inside to the outside edge and see if you feel a ridge right at the outside edge...
Did the garage that did the brake job cut the rotors? Is there a ridge at the outside edge of the rotor?
If the rotors were not cut there could be a ridge and that ridge can cause squeaking.
Well I don't think I ever updated with what I ended up with. After the first serious fail I called Corey and he gave me some real good advice. So I decided to try again. I went over the whole car...
Yea other people were talking about the Flex and Rupes and what can actually be done with a DA and he just talked about wanting "more power". I wanted to reference AG and how much there is to learn...
I was just reading a thread in a car forum I am on and it started out about PPF and Opti-Coat then turned more into polishing. Well this guy started posting about wanting a rotary and I just thought...
I used to work as a mechanic and I have mounted hundreds of tires and I can't remember one time that I damaged a wheel. If you are careful and attentive to what you are doing it really isn't that...
I've never used Flyby but used GTechniq G1 on my past 3 cars and with all of them I have noticed that when my windshield starts getting dirty (because it hasn't been cleaned in a couple of weeks) it...
I had G1 on my tC which had more glass than paint and I was amazed at the results. After 2 years it was still going strong so when I got my 86 I put it on all it's glass and have been just as amazed....
It's only cool when you put them on a very scratched up car with missing lights! Your eyes are so busy admiring the tire/wheel setup you don't even notice they are mounted on a $100 car!
Oh I believe it, I see them on the road all the time and it just amazes me that some of them spent more on their car than their house.
I think it's all about the badge for them, as long as it has a...
And why does Toyota put Prius tires on the FR-S and BRZ, cars that are supposed to have such a great handling suspension?
I guess because they aren't any faster than a Prius so they don't need...
So you are saying that 1/2 degree of camber will cause a car to pull?
I've never seen camber cause a pull, caster is what will cause a pull.
The factory alignment specs for my car give a +/- factor...
I used the G2 on my Honda when I had it and it held up really well, after about 2 years there wasn't a single chip on any of them.
While you have the wheels off you might as well go all the way with...
When I ordered my FR-S I told the salesman I didn't want it washed or touched when it came in. Don't take the stickers off or anything, just back it off the truck and park it. He looked at me like I...
flyinion,
I have a full bottle of RaggTopp Vinyl Protectant that I bought for my Honda and since that is gone I have no use for it so if you want it PM me your address and I will send it to you....
DaveT has got you covered but I think he meant 'claying' not 'clawing', don't want you getting confused by a typo. And I agree, I would definitely clay that hood before I tried to polish it.
Here's...
If you want to try the RaggTopp let me know. I have a full bottle I bought for my Honda but now I don't need it. I don't foresee another softtop anytime in the near future until I get tired of the 86...
When I had my Honda I used 303 AP on the top and it would run in the rain and leave streaks down the side of the car. I switched to RaggTopp for vinyl and it looked awesome, lasted a pretty long time...
