  1. Re: Prep for Sale Pt. 2 -- Wheels and Wheel Wells

Thanks! Glad to see another GA member on the boards. It took around 30-45 minutes per wheel. Some were worse than others with brake dust so they got some special attention with the clay.
  2. Re: Prep for Sale Pt. 2 -- Wheels and Wheel Wells

    Haha, Thanks for the complement!

    Re: Washing problems?

    I'm going to guess swirls.

    Two things:

1-Black is just about the worst color for swirl identification. It is extremely easy to spot swirls on a black car just by nature of the color.

  9. Re: The Official How Much Water Do You Use Thread Start to Finish

I'd say I use around 10 gallons total.
3 gallons in wash bucket, 2 gallons in rinse bucket, and 5 gallons pre-rinsing and post-rinsing the vehicle. Maybe 12 gallons at times.

    I do not rinse each...

    :iagree:

And actually, I have had great success removing paint like that from vehicles using Turtle Wax Liquid Claybar...it's about the only thing I've found it to be useful for :props:

  17. Re: Now we all know that dish wash is bad for your car, how about the reverse?

I of course agree that Dawn will strip some weak or old waxes and sealants but I've never seen any adverse effects from using it as a stripping/pre/post polishing wash.

I am not sure about the...

The directions state 1oz/gallon but I haven't yet tried using a higher dilution ratio.

I'd like to try out Hyperwash just to compare it...

    Re: Google Chrome

FF4 is great. However, FF and IE took Chrome's layout style. Not that I'm complaining. I love the competition and I love the simple "Hidden Options" and lack of bloat from the top of the browser.
