    Re: Tacoma Exhaust Stain Problem

I agree with comments above. Maybe I should try a better sealant/coating...something that I can buff out without taking the chance on damaging paint. I also have considered cutting off the exhaust...

    Re: Tacoma Exhaust Stain Problem

Here we go an old post that I made five years ago. I purchased a fourth white Tacoma in 2018. My wife still has her 2015 Tacoma. In the five years since my 2016 post, I still have not found a...

  4. Replacement for a Meguiar's Versa Angle Wide Body Brush?

Most of you won't have any idea of what I'm talking about.

In 2005, Meguiar's came out with a collection of wash brushes. I was a beta tester for these brushes as well as several other detailing...

    Re: Buffing too much ?

Not on this Tacoma. Minor dust nibs can be leveled with very careful wet sanding. As a matter of fact, I have a very small paint flaw were a dust nib was wet sanded level at the factory. (Yes, I...

    Re: Buffing too much ?

Dust nibs under the paint. Most likely from the factory and quite likely under both the base coat and clear coat. Don't mess with them. My white Tacoma has about a half dozen of them but most...

    Re: Buffing too much ?

To the OP: Saw your post on the Tacoma forum. I too have a Tacoma (a 2018). My wife has had five of them. I don't know how many times I have used a DA polisher on these trucks. Mostly just with a...

ONR and Meg's Ultimate Liquid Wax

Just used the coin-op to get the big stuff off my Tacoma. Need to finish up with ONR Wash and Shine (not Wash and Wax). Will Meg's Ultimate Liquid Wax work OK with this no rinse wash or should I...

Re: Question - Megs Ultimate Wash & Wax

Don't feel bad about using Meg's products. I have used them almost exclusively since the early 1970's. They work and I trust the company.

Re: Lime/calcium blotches on car? Update

The stains definitely were calcium/lime deposits from the parking gargage. They were not heavily crusted and were about the thickness of a layer of paint. A 100% white vinegar solution worked...no...

    Re: Lime/calcium blotches on car?

A little change in direction to the post. I'll probably not use the CLR and will stick with various solutions of vinegar. I have a bunch of stuff packed for this little detailing venture...just in...

If you do try the CLR, let us know how it works. It may save me a bit of time when I work on my daughter's car.

    Re: Tacoma Exhaust Stain Problem

Thanks for the suggestions. Any problems with exhaust fumes from having the turn down under the bed of the truck.
