Re: Need input please.. PC 7424 problems

Did the washer get installed with backing plate? It comes in the box and is not mentioned in the manual I think.

    Re: Waxing mistake

I still recommend trying to rub on some wax. That way you won't have to re-wax afterwards. The reason being is the wax set to fast and became hard on the paint, applying a little more will...

    Re: Waxing mistake

Try rubbing on a little more wax on the streaks and remove right away. If that doesn't work some polish by hand will do the trick.

    Re: OC 2.0 problems again...

I wouldn't have used sush a strong product that soon myself but that's beside the point. My guess would be that the bug and tar remover isn't fully washed off the paint. Try an ONR or regular wash...

    Re: THE best paint sealant?

    WINNING!
Menzerna PowerLock is the best I've used. It provides looks, durability and is real easy to use.

Re: Having problems with Optimum products

If the paint feel "grabby", it most likely needs to be clayed. The wax haze could be from using too much product. I recommend spraying the towel instead of the paint.

Re: Best DA Polisher for Beginner

I started with a PC. It worked great and I enjoyed using it a few times. I found a great deal on a Flex a while later and after using it thought I should have bought one in the first place.

    Re: Give me opinion

The only reason I can think of is #2's portfolio is way above and beyond #1's. As for my guess, they're pretty much the same thing.

Re: Menzerna Powerlock - a little test

PL is from Menzerna USA, IMO it's the same thing. I've always touted the sealant as a wonder LSP but couldn't have foreseen this torture. Great review/comparison and thanks for doing it.
  13. Re: XMT360 AIO Big Problems - Need some advice

Try using a some of the XMT360, just a dab, on a foam applicator on the spots it left followed be a wipe with a MF. I haven't had this happen but try using a little less product next time. In my...

    Re: Best LSP Coating

Why not permanant? I have OC 2.0 on my truck and it looks great. It's also really easy to keep clean and drying is effortless after flooding the paint.
  17. Re: What do you use to completely strip your paint prior to LSP application?

Good to know. I've always hoped someone would come out with an actual rinseless stripping wash.
  18. Re: What do you use to completely strip your paint prior to LSP application?

For me I wouldn't. Did mixing the APC with ONR affect it's lubricity(?) or how easily it dries at all?

Re: Highest shine wax out of these four?

I've only used Max Wax and it looks really good, with proper prep. Prep is the key with any wax or sealant so it's really up to you. Do you plan to polish or have you already polished your car?
  20. Re: Is opti 2.0 only usable once after opening?

As long as you cap it, it's good for the duration.
  21. Re: AM I Missing any products for My new detail biz I just started?

Back-up polisher, ya never know. You also might want to invest in some more polishes. The ones you mentioned may not always be the right ones for the job. And maybe a lower end wax, Dodo can be...

  25. Re: Scratching the car with Rinseless/Waterless wash?

I use the rinseless wash most of the time and haven't seen any wash induced marring yet. I usually use 1 mitt and 1 or 2 lg drying towels with one sm drying towel for the final wipe. Here's some pics...
