Re: Wheel cleaners, learned something...I think

For chrome wheels, just spend a day pulling them off and doing a full detail. Clean the inside and outside thoroughly with something like sonax, clay, polish to perfection, and finally put a coating...

Re: What kind of shoes keep your feet dry?

Crocs are perfect for detailing. Mine get cleaned with ARO followed by a coat of UTTG every once in a while for some nice low gloss sheen and great beading when washing cars.

    Re: Cleaning new tires

Amazing Roll Off works well with the mold release on tires. Mist the tire with some water, spray ARO on, let dwell a minute and agitate. Rinse off.

I never use a wheel cleaner anymore on my own car.

About 5 months ago I spent a day on just my wheels to make sure they were easy to clean from then on out.

I first pulled the wheels off,...

Re: Other uses for waxes other than on cars?

those are only a few of the uses, thanks wikipedia.

TX-100 is a great high HLB = 13.2 @ 10 % w/w surfactant that easily solubilizes fats and waxes. I've done a few formulations with carnauba and...

Re: What do you not like to do on a detail?

I don't like to clean up after kids during a detail. Customers always call me saying their carpets need shampooing but are not that bad. I show up at their house, open the door of the car and crayon,...

Re: What to do after it rains?

After it rains, I like to find a mud hole and drive my freshly waxed Jeep through it. The mud beading up on the paint makes me feel like the driver in a commercial.

Re: Starting my Mobile Business But super scared

I'm not convinced of your detailing skills based on the pictures you've posted. There are no sun shots to show a true paint condition. A clean car will always look good in the shade.
  25. Re: Just bought my first Makita 9227C and need some advice...

I use a 3m euro backing plate with 5.5" ccs flat pads on my makita with great success. I really like the optimum line because they do not dust like others.
