    Re: NEW 3D GLW series

I read Tunch sold the company. You’d think he would have known that was the direction prior to Mike joining 3D.

I agree this seems like the wrong direction for 3D. They also started posting...
  2. Re: Is Adam's Slick N Slide Really Just like Xtreme Solutions Topper?

Phoenix EOD Titan and Ethos Pro Shine are both variations of B&B Slipstream.

IIRC they both used the same pdf form for the SDS and forgot to change one of the pdf headers. It still said...

  4. Re: Of these 5 choices, which ceramic drying aid / topper would you choose?

I used it a bit a few years ago. The product may have good chemical resistance, but otherwise it wasn't very good at anything. Gloss did not stand out (reduces at application), water behavior...
  5. Re: Of these 5 choices, which ceramic drying aid / topper would you choose?

I did the same thing after seeing Mike’s video on it and had the exact same problem. Terrible experience.

Not sure why Mike is leading us down the wrong path. That product is not designed to be...

Re: Bug remover & topcoat reapply

Most bug removers are APCs/degreasers perhaps with an enzyme that breaks down bug guts.

Start with a little soap and water and see how far you get. Grab the bug remover when you need to get...
  7. Re: Why do you use the brands you do, & not others??

It's not possible for one brand to have a winner in every category.

I use a lot of 3D products because most of them work well and are good value for the money. But I also use products from...

New polisher and polishing technique help

I have owned and used the 3401, CBEAST, and cordless finisher.

The finisher slows down after 5-10 minutes which is annoying. I do not recommend anyone buy the cordless finisher.

    With the new...

    Re: Thank you Mike Phillips

"It's fun to work with the maker, not the faker." - Mike Phillips

I wonder what the backstory is on that.

Looks like maybe a reference to other social media promoters.

    Re: Thank you Mike Phillips

Watching 3D's Facebook Live and Mike Phillips and Yancy have joined 3D.

Looks like they will be doing basically the same thing over there that they have done at Autogeek.

I would say try the Hybrid Ceramic Detailer first. If you like the results then step up to M799.

Try some 3D APCs/Degreasers. They don't make you cough or bleed from your respiratory system.

    Re: simple green

It comes from people's experience using the product.

From what I've read it's not as safe as you'd think. And not as material compatible as you'd expect.

Re: 3D degreaser, citrus vs yellow

Super Citrus APC is one of the newer higher concentrated formulas. They sell them in the nano pails (64oz) and nano drums (128oz).

Look at the dilution ratios. You get a lot of product in...

With any of these if the tires are still wet there is a chance the liquid will fly off the tire. If you need to drive before they dry...

    What do you really expect?

Always ask for what you want the result to be. Don't assume someone is going to read your mind and figure out what you want.

If you feel you have a defective...

Re: Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

With a coated windshield you can never rely on the rain sensor. It wants to wipe every drop of rain off the glass. When your windshield is coated you don't need or want that.

Just because something can do well in a short term chemical durability test doesn't mean it is an overall good product.

Except it has horrible water behavior and doesn't last long in the real world. And it doesn't self clean in the rain either. Oh and it loses gloss until after the first wash.

As was said above. CarPro Tar-X is safe to use as-needed on a CQUK coated vehicle.

But as Mike always says if a product isn't adding to your protection then it is doing what? So just use it...
