Re: Best Carnauba for the price?

For a true finish wax without cleaners that would clean off the sealant I suggest Max Wax. A very nice finish wax. DP Max Wax- Made with pure carnauba wax and advanced polymers.
  2. Re: Blackfire Wet Diamond all finish paint protection

I knew someone would say that! Didn't take any and hit the road tomorrow for a 250 mile trip ... So if I can get a decent pic it will probably have some imbedded bugs!:hungry:
  3. Re: Best All-in-One Wash, Wax, or Seal product

DP poli-coat paint sealant ... Good stuff!
DP Poli-Coat Paint Sealant, polymer paint sealant, auto paint sealant, DP Policoat paint sealant, paint sealer
  4. Blackfire Wet Diamond all finish paint protection

Gave the truck a coat of BFAFPP today, just had to stop by and remind everyone how awesome this stuff is, easy on easier off and a deep wet look. I haven't reached for this in quite a while and today...
  5. Re: Cleaning Rubber Floor Mats without Free Flowing Water

I'd think the new Blackfire ALL-IN-ONE Trim and Tire would be perfect for this! Maybe MARC 08 can chime in here with a quick test and review how it works.
  6. Re: Review: BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant

I think it's pretty much to be determined, probably similar to the rest on the non coating dressings.
  7. Re: Review: BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant

Your review made me place some in my cart today. I was a little short of the $150 to get free shipping, this little write up did the trick and put me over the top! ... Thanks:props: ..... :dblthumb2:...

Re: Need a long lasting sealant

In humid climates good luck working with FK1000P .... Totally hate the stuff .., strictly my opinion but it has to be the hardest thing in the world to get off even applying very thin with a machine....

Re: Looking for a good cleaner wax

You can't go wrong with Duragloss 105 IMO. It's an AIO but so will any cleaner wax be. The amount of polish you get depends on how much you work it. A simple RO application and buff off will give...

    Re: Diminishing Abrasives

I think it comes down to preference and what you get used to. I think the Meguiars has more correction capability but that said I absolutely really like the Wolfgang combo and pretty much use it all...
  13. Re: Helping a noobie choose the correct products for paint correction!!

You need to get a 5" backing plate and 5.5" pads. If it were me I'd use the Optimum polishes with the lake country Hydro Tech pads. They are much more forgiving than the Meguires polishes IMO.

    I...

    Re: New guy from Oooooregon

Welcome Phil, I'm in Oregon down at the coast in Newport! Enjoy this place it's very informative and lots of fun!
  15. Re: Questions after first time using polisher

About 6 to 8 hrs for an average car.

You used only 1 - 4" pad for your entire hood? How often did you clean it? Also with some of your other statements I'm going to say you used to much product....

    Re: microfiber vs foam pads?

I'm a Hydro-Tech pad guy. A lot of the time I can be LSP ready after Cyan. They are also a lot more durable than the MF pads (note, I have not tried the new lake country MF pads)
    Also I have a pad...

    Re: gg6 bogging down?

How old is it? If it starts out with plenty of power then slows as you use it, it's most likely a brush issue. This would not be covered under warranty because brushes are a wear item. If you find...
  18. Re: A peek at the 2013 Corvette w/the special 60th anniversary trim.

    Thanks Bob!
  19. Re: How do you personally wash and dry your microfibers

Wash wax towels and non paint safe MF separate from paint safe towels. Recently switched to BF micro fiber wash from DP and love it. Try this stuff you won't regret it!

    Wash all towels on warm...
  20. Re: Optimum Hyper Compound on yellow foam pad, not enough cut?

    Mark,

You do awesome work and give a lot of people here great advise
To help them along their way to success! I always read your posts with great interest. I for one would like to thank you for...
  21. Re: Optimum Hyper Compound on yellow foam pad, not enough cut?

I really don't feel that there is that much cut difference between the M105 and the Hyper compound. I do find that both really change their capabilitys with the pad choice.
    A look here: Autogeek...
  22. Re: A peek at the 2013 Corvette w/the special 60th anniversary trim.

Nice looking car, what's the premium for the 60th anniversary package? Not sure I'm fond of the blue top?
  23. Re: Optimum Hyper Compound on yellow foam pad, not enough cut?

I get fantastic cut from the hyper compound. The dusting has me a little concerned because I don't get any. Maybe the paint is super hard, don't know on older GM paint. Vegas above seems to think...
  24. Re: How would YOU care for Matte Paint Finishes

I understand Gtechinq EXO can be used on Matte finishes.

    Re: My third auto detailing

Nice job! I think I would have used a heat gun and removed the dealer stickers. Friend has got to be very happy.

What were the products and processed used?:hungry:
