    Re: How do you advertise?

*If you have a trailer...use it as a billboard. It works!
*Got a website? Be sure that all the Metadata is used correctly which will help in search rankings.

    Re: Flex3401

    :iagree:

I've used my Flex on boats numerous times. It works awesome with wool and (obviously) foam pads on boats!

Re: To Everyone With A Mobile Setup

Negative. Since that post, life happened (marriage, childbirth, etc). I still can at some point...just busy doing other things.

I also don't browse the forums much either.

Re: What towels should I be using?

My advice (for what's it's worth), buy a few different microfiber towels of different thicknesses and sizes and see what works best for you in certain applications. Like products, what works best for...

Re: Glass Cleaner for Tinted Windows...?

:iagree:Distilled water is the cheapest, ready-to-use glass cleaner on the market.
  6. Re: At what point did you decide to go ALL IN?

For me it was a no-brainer when I decided to go "all in". My first job I ever had in high school was detailing for a local mobile guy. My friend worked for him and got me the job there for some...

Re: Mytee Lite II Vs. VX-5000 Steamer

I have found, in most cases, when I'm doing interiors....first spraying the carpets with an APC, then agitating with the VX and brush attachment, followed by the extraction with the HP60, has been my...

Re: Show your mobile van setup!

I'll snap some interior shots when I get a chance.

    As far as prices...

    *Trailer (6x10x5'h) w/ 5-spoke aluminum wheels...about $3200 out the door

    *Vinyl graphics...$400

    *Amount of...

    Re: Paying your helper?

You can also hire help thru a staffing agency. I don't mean call the place and have them send just anyone over to help. I had a friend work with me for a while and I had him go thru a staffing...

    Re: New Mobile Detailing Trailer

Awesome set-up!! Reminds me of my first trailer set-up I had.

    Questions:

    * Since you only do interior work, have you lost much business by not offering exterior work as well?

    * I've always...

    Re: Farm equipment....

I, myself, stay away from any dealer(ship) of any sort. I've had quite a few call me, discuss what I charge for my services, then try and talk me down to almost nothing. I know this topic has been...

Re: Help from anyone who has the Mytee

I have the HP60 and never thought to get the attachment. For me, I usually take the seats out if the crevices are that bad anyway. So, to answer your question...in my opinion....no, it's not worth it.

Re: Looking for good pics of 50's Vette

Hey Wills...just my $.02...I don't think the red and white car looks good with that background. The idea of the line-drawn car may work the best with it OR the silhouette of a black vette may work...

Re: Hi from the Left Coast

What he sent you is a good start. It's always best to post a pic of what you're working with, when asking for advice, as some may have different advice/suggestions.
  20. Re: State your name and Professional Occupation...

Jeremy here...got into detailing back in '96 and did it as a hobby/on the side up until almost 2 years ago when I decided to do it full time. It's definitely been full time ever since.

    Re: Worth a crap??

Yes, I have about 10 of those towels and use them ALL the time. For the same reason, I couldn't see myself spending a lot per towel. They are well worth it. I bought one to try out, then went back...
  22. Re: Forum member an asset to AGO is missed: Garry Dean

    I find this thread amusing.

  23. Re: How many of you actually USE a pressure washer?

Mine gets used ALL the time...EVERY wash and detail. In fact, I have 2...just in case my main one decides to call in sick one day.

    Re: BMW Interior

Thanks. At this point, I'm wondering if it's actually the color rubbed off of the carpet fibers. Sounds crazy...but who knows.

If I must ask...how do you know? lol
