Re: Can you use a AIO, then top with a nuba?

Klasse AIO topped with a wax was a formula used by many back in the early days of detailing forums.

Re: Layer Collinite #845 over a sealant??

The nuba content is very small compared to the synthetics that are in the chemistry.

Re: Layer Collinite #845 over a sealant??

Hmm, I don't consider 845 a wax, to me its a sealant that has "wax" on the label. Same with 476, its a sealant in a can.

    Re: DP Maxwax

If you top Blackfire, you will cut its slickness in half. Secondly, I seen no real benefit from topping BF ,it doesn't need any help and you wont see that much of a difference.

Re: The GG polisher is as good as the 3401?

If you are running a detail business and pumping out 3-5 cars a week or whatever, the Flex is worth it (still overpriced IMHO) But for average detailers doing there own vehicle and cars here and...
  10. Re: So I contacted Griot's Garage about "Lifetime Warranty"...

The "lifetime warranty" is alot about marketing, infact its very good marketing. Clearly the warranty states it not going to cover parts that "wear out". Now, what classifies a part as "defective"...

    Griots Polisher "Lifetime Warranty"

Some of you guys touting this great warranty should read the fine print, its not as cut and dry as many posts here have indicated. The lifetime covers "defects" for example. The way I read the...

    Re: M105 Caking Up?

2 sprays of water on the pad will help alot with 105, why guess if you have primed it correctly when 2 sprays of water will do the trick?

    Re: Griots 6" Pad recomendations

I would invest in the 5" backing plate and go with 5.5 inch pads. Both 6.5 and 5.5 will work, 5.5 will just help do it a little quicker with less drag on the machine.

Re: Menzerna 85RD vs Zaino AIO

I think to get the most out of 85rd, the rotary jewels the best. Having said that, you can still polish with 85 using the dual action, I just think the rotary gives you that extra 2% of gloss,...

Re: Menzerna 85RD vs Zaino AIO

If you are using a rotary, sure, jewel it down with 85rd if you want, if you are using dual action, I would just go to ZAIO.

  24. Re: Questions for the weekend and on the side detailers

It is important for you to go over the car carefully with the owner, pointing out dents, imperfections and so on. Pre-Inspection will save you from "gee, i don't remember that being there."
  25. Re: Need a carpet cleaning machine, what are you using?

My advice is to go with a machine that has a atleast 100psi, much better and faster cleaning compared to 60psi
