Foamed Wool 6.5 x 1 Thick Polishing / Buffing Pad I use these pads with my makita and like them.

Blackfire Wet Diamond darkens a tad as well.

2 sprays of water on the pad will help alot with 105, why guess if you have primed it correctly when 2 sprays of water will do the trick?

I would invest in the 5" backing plate and go with 5.5 inch pads. Both 6.5 and 5.5 will work, 5.5 will just help do it a little quicker with less drag on the machine.

If you are using a rotary, sure, jewel it down with 85rd if you want, if you are using dual action, I would just go to ZAIO.

It is important for you to go over the car carefully with the owner, pointing out dents, imperfections and so on. Pre-Inspection will save you from "gee, i don't remember that being there."

My advice is to go with a machine that has a atleast 100psi, much better and faster cleaning compared to 60psi
