Re: Best pad to polish windshield?

I can definitely get an ok for the blue foam purchase [emoji41]

That's the reason I don't want to use the cerium oxide... real PITA to clean up, based on the last project I used it for. Could be...

    Thanks all for the feedback!

Can't justify buying a dedicated polish for this; I could mix a concoction with certain oxide powder I have lying around from another project, and have reason pads...

Re: Best pad to polish windshield?

    Watched them all already.
Don't need cerium oxide based polish.
I just need to get water spots off. The glass doesn't need correcting at all (I actually think some of the spots are from the plastic...

    Best pad to polish windshield?

    Hi all, quick question.
What type of pads do you use on your RO polishers to polish glass.
Not looking to remove scratches or pock marks; just water marks, wiper streaks, etc.
    Reason I ask is I...

Hi all...has anyone been able to find a smaller backing plate to fit 5" pads with this machine?

Nothing listed on the HF site.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Finally finished my daughter's JL Willy's.

    Last step were the tires/wheels.
Wheels got a coating of Wheel Coat from an old stash of McKee's 37 Wheel Coating (bought a long time ago, but...

Re: Jeep Bumper - Dye needed, or just a coating

I'll probably pick up a small bottle of Solution Finish, and try it out on an inconspicuous area.

Re: Jeep Bumper - Dye needed, or just a coating

I was wondering whether it was the coat, as compared to weathering. The fact that the DLux was on for about 2.5 years was making it question whether it was a true fade, compared to perhaps ceramic...

Re: Jeep Bumper - Dye needed, or just a coating

So, in your opinion, it has weathered and faded, and thus needs a dye based solution? I have been watching some "longevity" videos, and the review basically said Solution Finish was the way to go...

Jeep Bumper - Dye needed, or just a coating

    Hey all,

Just got my daughter's Jeep JL back in the driveway. We bought this for her back in 2021, and she has since moved out.

When first purchased, I coated the trim with CarPro DLux. Of...
  24. Re: Just coated, and it rained 7 hours later. What to do?

Just dried it off, using Griot's 3-1 as a drying aid (love WFH ;) ). All looks good so far, except "maybe" the gloss black plastic side mirror housings.

Will keep an eye on it.

    Thanks again
