Re: Use of M105/205 for headlight restoration?

M105 is about all I use on headlights now as I buy it in bulk. Love the stuff.
  2. Re: Favorite beer, if not a beer drinker, favorite beverage in general.

Visited my son in Sonoma, Ca. and ran over to the Russian River brewing in Santa Rosa to get some cases of Pliny the Elder, good stuff. Wish they sold it closer to my location.

Re: Rupes Mille vs 3401 - UPDATED Thoughts

I'll be 43 next month and I will say, took a couple weeks off for a vacation, detailing keeps me fit....I got fat eating good food and not working hard. It is a lot of work, but I am used to the hard...

Re: Rupes Mille vs 3401 - UPDATED Thoughts

Bought the Mille when first available, I think am going to sell it. Using my 3401 is almost second nature to me having so many hours on the machine, don't even notice any noticeable energy or walking...

Re: SEMA 2017 New 2018 Products

    Dynabrade? I still have one.

Man, I am so thankful I can afford to just by all the machines out there, and try them, instead of just buying a few, becoming a hard core fan boy of the ones I own...

    Re: Coating applicators and application

I do tons of coatings now and use the CarPro suede cloths and applicator exclusively. Nice and smooth finish. I buy the large CarPro suede cloths and cut them into applicator size. Cheap and...

    Re: A Plethora of Choices

IMO, if you love M105 and have tried all the other compounds, then you aren't "stuck" with anything, you have choices and have chosen to use a product that works phenomenal w/ a proven track record....

    Re: A Plethora of Choices

I've tried darn near every compound out there, and 105 is still one of my most used compounds. Been using it so long. I can see why Larry Kosilla and Kevin Brown love the stuff so much. And I will...

Re: Screwed up big time. burned paint?

That totally sucks but a base AND clear repaint (w/ blend) is needed to fix that properly unfortunately. Not a cheap fix if done right. I bought a $2K ultrasonic paint depth gauge many years ago...

    Re: GG6 stopped working

Sounds like one of the brushes is shot. I have had this happen more than once before. Some of the brushes in the GG6 are less than impressive and can cause a quick failure of the machine....

Re: What goes into a show car paint job?

It's a lot of panel gapping, bodywork, sanding, priming, sanding, priming, sanding, priming etc. There is a massive difference between a typical show car paint job and a best of show concourse paint...

  19. Re: 2004 BMW Z4 paint restoration/correction with cquartz ceramic coating.

You got my respect. I have detailed more than a few of those cars. For some reason they are always beat up and trashed. Plus, for such a small car, they are surprising difficult to detail.

Re: Sneak Peek! - New Polisher!

What is the "right direction"? I just detailed a car that was worth over $2M dollars, and the darn steering wheel was on the wrong side ; )

Messing around w/ Essence on a Megs MF finishing disc a while back. For me, it's a very easy product to use and almost effortless wipe off.

Re: Favorite drying towel of 2017?

I am almost embarrassed to say how much I have spent on various Griots PFM towels, they are my favorite and I cannot go back anything less now.
