Re: Will Rotary Make a Comeback

Sorry for the dislike. I've not been to these forums for years. I accidentally hit the dislike and didn't know how to undo it so, I hit the like as well. :(

I find Menzerna 3800 great for jeweling too. I've been using it since way back before the name change when it was 4000.

    Re: Dirt Cheap Mobile Trailer

Really? I've been too afraid to try. I was going to get a Karcher just to be able to do that. My friend was able to hook me up (an HD employee) and I was able to grab my for $200 new. Was an open...

    Re: Why negative comments?

I wouldn't even let it get to you. I have to say... nice idea with the sign. :xyxthumbs: I was thinking about doing the same except with a "wet floor" shaped sign. The one that hinges at the top and...

    Re: Washer or not

One thing to keep in mind is using it the way RUPES designed would mean also using RUPES pads and polishes. When they designed it I'm guessing (keep in mind it's only a guess) that they didn't design...

As confirmed by KB via RUPES directly, it will *not* void warranty. Thanks though...

    Re: Washer or not

    Needed? No

Does it help? IMO yes, more noticeably with MF pads. Speaking from experience with the 15mm version.

You've got nothing to lose to try it for yourself and see how it works for you.

What polish/compound were you using with the MF pads? Sorry if I missed it... :)

    Re: What is Average Condition?

I don't know about "average", but when a customer tells me their car is "not bad" or "i take really good care of it" it usually ends up a nightmare. On the other hand when they say it's in bad shape...

Nice, we should get something lined up for when you make the trip next weekend. :xyxthumbs:

Unless I missed it, did you get the 15 or 21?

Re: I want the Flex, I need the Rupes?

They should be exactly the same except for the throw (15mm/21mm), backing plate (5"/6") and the OPM. *I think* 4200 on the 21 and 4800 on the 15.

Re: Rupes side by side detail - 1955 Crown Victoria

    Mike
How many blue pads did you use on each side? Did you fully prime the pads during compounding step or just apply a few blobs? At one point during the beginning it looked like you laid a bead of...

Re: What to use to refinish wheel wells?

Another vote for WD40. I'm sure some buzzkill will come along with an MSDS and say why you shouldn't use it, but who cares. It works and also loosens tar and such that's been flung up from the road....
