Re: Gyeon Rim apply in cold weather

Went ahead and did it indoors. The smell wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. End up putting 2 coats on at about 24 hrs apart. I was expecting the coating to flash but after applying to...

Gyeon Rim apply in cold weather

I just purchased a new set of painted and clear coated 4Play wheels. Being in Indiana I also picked up some Gyeon Rim to put on them to protect against road salt. However I didn't realize that the...

Re: Griots 3 in 1 not lasting?

I was debating on trying uber or Mckees but decided to go with ONR again since I haven't used the "new" formula.

Re: Griots 3 in 1 not lasting?

Yes I shook the bottle often, before every spray.

Interesting note about the Optimum wash. I'm about out and was planning on heading to Harbor Freight later this week to pick up another item and...

Re: Griots 3 in 1 not lasting?

That's good to hear on the TWHSC since I just bought some and have the wet wax on order for a drying aid.

Guess I'll also looking into Cancoat as well.

Re: Griots 3 in 1 not lasting?

It was clayed and polished this spring before the 1st application. The subsequent applications no. I've thought about can coat but I also like quick easy processes as I don't have a lot of time to...

Re: Griots 3 in 1 not lasting?

Sorry for 3 posts in a row. This truck is also new to me. It's 2 years old and don't know what the previous owner used but it was buttery smooth and large beads of water when washed. However it...

Griots 3 in 1 not lasting?

I'm having an issue with Griots 3 in 1 ceramic spray not lasting, 4 weeks and it's completely gone on the hood and roof of my truck.

This spring I did my first ever correction using 3d speed. I...

Re: Picking out DA and polish for a newb

I was able to finish the truck this weekend and it looks great! I wasn't able to get any pics cause it was dark by they time I finished and had to take the truck in to get some warranty work done on...

Re: Picking out DA and polish for a newb

Got a chance to look at the test panels at sunset yesterday and they look great! 1000% improvement! I was hoping to do the rest of the truck this weekend but with a high of only 50degress it might...

Re: Picking out DA and polish for a newb

The spring time honey do list has kept me from doing a full correction but yesterday I had enough time to try the setup on one bedside and door.

Speed with the LC white pad wasn't cutting it. It...

Re: Picking out DA and polish for a newb

I used it last year on all 3 vehicles applying it by hand. I probably went a little too thick but it was hard to tell where it was applied unless I went thick. I totally forgot about getting a pad...

Re: Picking out DA and polish for a newb

Finally placed the order. Not cheap but still less than what some of the detailers around here would charge. Once the truck is done then on to the Firebird and the wife's ride.

    G9 & 5" backing...

Re: Picking out DA and polish for a newb

Yeah I'm torn between the Speed and one. I have a feeling Speed would work just fine for the swirling that I have. However I'm also concerned that it might take more passes which means more time. ...

Re: Picking out DA and polish for a newb

Thanks for all the info! I guess there's no clear cut answer, I just need to try somethings out LOL.

I'm leaning towards the G9 polisher. Also for some reason leaning towards the 3D line, I keep...

Here she is. Only 30k miles. All these years I've never made it to the nationals, I keep thinking I'll do it sometime. Bad thing is that I'm only 2 hours from it :)

Re: Picking out DA and polish for a newb

Thanks for the compliment! Yes I do have a Bird, purchased new in 2002. After 21 years it too could use a tiny bit a paint correction. Once I tackle the truck I'll look in to doing the car with...

Re: Picking out DA and polish for a newb

3D Speed seems interesting, it might provide just enough cut to get the swirls out. As far as pads go, does it make much of a difference between the pads with the dimples are the straight flats?

Picking out DA and polish for a newb

Hi all I hope this is the right place to ask the question. Between this site and Autopia I'm overwhelmed!

I just picked up a 2021 Ram in Granite Crystal metallic. The truck was filthy when I...
