Re: 2006 Jeep Wrangler gets Restored

I plan on doing exactly what you did with the trim this Spring. Everything I've done with trim thus far lasts two weeks and it's time I made the leap to this.

I wanna toss this out as an...

I am not a fan of the car, but I am a fan of your detailing. I think that looks phenomenal - truly. Great work, Tesla paint never looked better.

Re: Sonax PNS - multiple coats?

I have a can of PNS shield dedicated to my calipers & wheels. This product seems to do REALLY well on a moderately heated surface - and I always do two coats. Wheel waxes can be so difficult to...

Re: Top 3 Favorite Detailing Products

I use an automotive squeegee on all jobs across the entire car. I know this is controversial and I will read/listen to anything anyone has to say about it. But I sincerely yet to have any problems...

Re: Top 3 Favorite Detailing Products

After I use my auto squeegee, I use one Meguiar's X2000 towel. Works fantastic. The towels mentioned in this thread however have piqued my interest.

Re: The Season of Discontent is upon us...

You're so right and even me mentioning the heaters in the garage should be packaged with a disclaimer. I'm real sorry about your friend too - terrible way to go.

    The garage stays completely open....

Re: The Season of Discontent is upon us...

Incredibly warm in Chicago today and this thread has filled me with regret. My Firebird was prepped & stored, but my ISF is filthy by our standards and I didn't do a damn thing about it (operative...
  10. Re: Need interior product help for brand new Acura

First I'd give everything a nice wipe with a warm/damp MF towel. If the car was older I'd add a touch of Dawn.
Then I'd follow up with Wolfgang Cockpit Trim sealant. I'm a minimalist with...
  11. Re: 1978 Firebird - Wash, Clay, Paint Cleanse, Buff, Polish, Paint Sealant

Thanks. It's a 350+.030 with about 1k miles on the rebuild.
Pretty, but over-carbed and/or over-cammed. I did plugs before I stored it and they matched the car! Lol...
  12. Re: 1978 Firebird - Wash, Clay, Paint Cleanse, Buff, Polish, Paint Sealant

    Thanks brother!

I saw you/your avatar in another thread earlier and thought - I hope this guy pops up in the "how to" section and sees my thread title before it drops..
And a FF fan on top of...

    Re: Show Car Wax/Sealant

I'll toss my hat in and say that P21S (blue lid - beeswax carnauba mix) looks outstanding on top of Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant. And the stuff is so incredibly easy to work with - I love both of...
  14. Re: Throwback Thoughts: Favorite Detailing Product of Old?

Westley's Bleche White + tire brush.
Nothing ever got my Radial T/As to glow like this.
  15. Re: 1978 Firebird - Wash, Clay, Paint Cleanse, Buff, Polish, Paint Sealant

Thank you! Starlight Black is the color - I want it to look like you can FALL IN when you approach it.
  16. Re: 1978 Firebird - Wash, Clay, Paint Cleanse, Buff, Polish, Paint Sealant

hahahahahahaha "for God's sake" he says.
    I love it.
The FF shirt was from a killer concert - hence the aforementioned tinnitus. Thanks for the welcome bud!
  17. 1978 Firebird - Wash, Clay, Paint Cleanse, Buff, Polish, Paint Sealant

    Hey everyone, first time poster.
Per the thread title, here's a video of me doing the job on a Firebird I bought off someone after sitting in storage for 20 years. This car was painted in a...
