Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

How do you like the CSS as a drying aid? My car usually wears Griots Ceramic 3 in 1 Wax as well. Been using OG Drying Aid and damn, that stuff is slick! Curious about CSS still though.

Certainly nervous, but I can also easily see us pulling out the win! I love how it seems like the whole country is rallying around the Lions 🥹

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Did my first “winter wash” of 2024 today. It was above freezing so I sprayed down the car with P&S Absolute diluted at 128:1 then rinsed with garden hose. Brought the car into the garage and turned...

    Re: Inside Griot's Garage

Following up on my issue with Perfecting Cream, they sent me a new bottle. I’ll be testing it out in the next week or so. I’ll come back to comment on how it turns out [emoji1696]

I just did another test strip with a 3” Lake Country green polishing pad using the Perfecting Cream. Same outcome - very hazy....

Writing them an email currently! They have been excellent when I’ve dealt with them in the past.

    Inside Griot's Garage

Adding some more context to my last post about Perfecting Cream. Here’s a photo showing my trunk which I just corrected using Correcting Cream. I did a test “strip” with a 3” yellow Perfecting pad...

    Re: Inside Griot's Garage

Anyone ever have trouble with Perfecting Cream on a yellow BOSS pad not finishing down very well? Lots of micro-marring. I tried Sonax Perfect Finish and it went away. I then tried the Perfecting...

Here you go! This is even after driving 400 miles over the weekend, followed by a rinseless wash I just did before taking the photos just now.

    Re: Inside Griot's Garage

Just went outside to look at it. It's covered in pollen now  ... ahhh spring time.

I'll probably pull it in the garage to do a rinseless this afternoon. Will post pics then!

    Re: Inside Griot's Garage

Figured this thread was the best place for me to reiterate my love for Griot's BOSS creams. Just did the fastest and easiest spring paint correction ever. I used Correcting Cream and a couple...
  14. Re: How many here are still using the Porter Cable DA?

The PC 7424XP is the only machine I own. My dad gave it to me a few years ago and that's what kickstarted me getting into paint correction on my own car and on friend's cars. I use a slew of Lake...

Re: Griots wax left water swirls on paint

Try spraying a microfiber towel with more of the 3-1. Then wipe the swirls away. The solvents used in the spray will pull up the high spots of the wax. More than likely you used way too much to begin...
  16. Re: What’s you guys’ opinions of applying these window stickers after coating?

I would give it to the customer and let them decide. Or offer to put it on for them

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

Very interested to hear your top 3! Looking forward to that.

Bummer that GG BFRW isn’t that great. I usually kinda default to a lot of Griot’s products, but sounds like I won’t be defaulting to...

Great video. I really like Mike, and think he's a super cool guy with great taste. That Century looks amazing as well, props to his detailer friend.
  19. Re: What’s a safe yearly Polish product to use on a daily driver. Considering the integrity of the clear coat

Another vote for GG Perfecting Cream from me. Love that stuff.

My car is well maintained, but GG PC with LC CCS white pads on my PC 7424XP takes out pretty much any marring, spider webbing, light...
  20. Advice with 1978 Coupe DeVille - Strip, Polish, Protect

Hi everyone. This is certainly not my usual type of car detailing. I accepted the challenge of detailing my girlfriend's late grandfather's Seamist Green 1978 Cadillac Coupe DeVille -- it will be in...

    Re: Audi A4 Hood Issue

I would also try a polish. If no improvement with a polish, then try a compound. If no improvement with compound then I don’t think anything would remove them.
  23. Re: Which Wolfgang sealant with Fuzion paste?

I’ll start by saying I haven’t used any of the Wolfgang products. But I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Deep Gloss 3.0. You may even find that you don’t need to apply the Fuzion paste to...

Re: What your go-to "Sleeper" Product?

Continuing with the Griot’s theme, their Best of Show Detailer (milky light blue color) is also a must-have in my opinion because it works so well in direct sunlight. I had a bird bomb yesterday and...

This was shipped to me on accident, but is now my go-to tire dressing. It looks good, but the greatest selling point is how long it lasts! I first used it on my gf’s daily driver and it...
