Id just grab some cheap wheel blocks from Harbor Freight, park your vehicle where you want and put them behind the rear wheels, maybe put some tape under them in case they move. Thats what I do,...

I'd watch for the "crows feet" on the hood. Basically the clear fails, I've had a 99 and now an 06 and both hoods have it, dont think theres much to remedy it besides a respray.

Looked it up and I like that idea more than the sand paper, would be tough for such a small area, ordered a 4 pk of variety brushes off Amazon.

After going over my hood I only have two spots with a little rust, one being worse than the other. Such a small area any tips ?

Also looks like at the top of the chip the paint might be lifting.....
